    I was thinking a trade, but no one seems to want to trade anything for the SS. I'd be lucky if I could get a bag of cheet-os for them!

    Did they not have any Photogs in stock? Why send the worst release of the year as a replacement? What did they say was the reason you were getting the sisters again?

    Pretty sad, the Sisters where $60, and you can get them for $36 bucks on amazon.

    I received a Star Sisters pack in which Tallstar is missing paint applications (from her face), and have been communicating with DR about receiving a replacement head for Tallstar. In their latest e-mail they told me that it is not possible to send a replacement head and that in order to get a new set, I need to return the set I have now. I replied that I expect them to pay for the shipping fees that I get from returning defective products (it'll be around $50-$70 to send a trackable package with three figures from Finland to USA). I'm not holding my breath, and expect them to decline my demand, but I want to see where this goes.

    Do you guys know what the legislation in USA is about returning defective products? Is the sender (the client) responsible for the returning fees, or is the seller responsible for them?

    No reason, just an email that said they were processing and ready to ship. Really weird!

    The girls at 1-800-matty are all clueless and therefore don't fix the problems.

    The guys at the DR escallation dept can help you directly and they know what's going on.
    They emailed me wright away and all my problems are solved.

    That's indeed strange but if you think about it:

    The matty number is run by girls and their job is to file complaints with tickets and send that to the escallation dept at DR.
    The guys at DR get those tickets and then have to fix the problem.
    But if you call them directly you get instantly helped and they understand the problem immediatly.

    @MATTEL: it's not sufficiant to have a costumers service and hire people for the job that are just secretaries and have no clue about the tickets they are writing for DR. It takes way to long, they don't understand the problems and their english is worse then mine.
    It troubles me that all major flaws: delays, bad q, costumers service, cancellation emails, the concidered by our banks fraudulous attempts to charge our cc; come from mattycollector and should be handled way bether then it is now.
    They have only a few more months untill I have to decide if I'm getting a sub next year but at the moment I'm going from 5 to maybe 1 sub.

    a plea for assistance - I need Digital River contact info

    Okay, last summer I made the mistake (as I was informed of after the fact) when I ordered my Captain Glenn/Cringer set the same time I ordered my 2012 Club Eternia subscription.

    I never got the Glenn/Cringer set last year, and when I ask about it, I was told it would ship with the first subscription item of 2012. Well, nearly three full months into the year, I have YET to receive a figure that came out last July. I have called DR MULTIPLE times, been promised I would be contacted via email by an escalation specialist, and I have heard from no one whatsoever.

    My card has already been charged, I have no idea as to what I should do next, or what recourse I have if any. It is just frustrating that I have poured so much time and money into this line and this is the best you can expect in return.

    Probably why I am strongly considering getting out, what kind of company takes your money for a product, only to never deliver said product.

    If anyone knows anyone or another number I can call to get some resolution, please post to this thread, pm me or even give me a call. For my number just send my a pm.

    Unbelievable!

    So when I get my original Photog it has a cracked lens. Everything else was perfect...the paint, tight joints, etc.. But I read Scott's posting that there were plenty of Photogs for returns and I thought I might as well get a figure that wasn't broken.

    I contacted Digital River, and they won't send a replacement without receiving my old figure first. They couldn't even confirm if I could receive a replacement. Weeks go by then I receive notice my Photog replacement order is processed. The only issue is they they completely ignored the shipping address on all my orders and instead addressed it to my billing address! I got on the horn immediately and changed the shipping address over the phone.

    About another week later I finally receive a notice that Photog is being shipped. The shipping address in the email is correct. I check the UPS tracking online and it shows it is supposed to arrive today. Well it won't because the package is most certainly headed to the billing address, which I don't live at. Again I called DR and they swore up and down that the package was headed to the address I specified. I informed them that I confirmed with UPS the package's destination. In the end I was told by the DR rep that this would be escalated and that I'd be contacted by Mattel in 5-7 business days.

    ...Great job Mattel! I can't receive an undamaged product I ordered from you in February till April.

    So, I have to vent now. A few days ago my patience ran dry and I emailed Matty about my missing figures from the CyberMonday sale. I ordered 2 x Palace Guards and 1 x Man-E-Faces and they haven't shown up yet and were sent on Nov. 29th.

    I received an email where they told me that the order was delivered but refused and got sent back to them on Dec. 8th. I would get a refund within the next days.

    Of course I didn't want a refund, I wanted my figures. I also tried to explain that it was impossible for the figures to travel from USA to Vienna/Austria, get refused, then arrive back at Matty and a refund has been made - all in just 10 days. Normally, figures take 2-4 weeks to arrive here.

    I told him that it was their fault and this proves it and I please want the order and not a refund.

    In the reply he totally ignored everything I wrote and answered the only other question I asked - when my Photog's were shipped. Amazing and really rude from the worlds biggest Toy-Company. I wrote them that I still want that figures, but haven't heard anything yet. I am sad.

    Updated my cc info since the old one expired. Charge for my sub showed pending in my bank account and got the renewal email from Matty. Today, the charge from Matty has disappeared and have yet to get shipping notice for Khan, which I would normally get the day after the renewal notice. So, clearly they screwed up while updating my cc info and I have to go through the whole process of calling customer service and have then file a ticket and whatnot. Grrr, this makes me want to quit this line.

    I ended up with an unauthorized subscription and was sent Khan. I called Matty and was told to return the figure and that this would not happen again. I am not paying to send it back. I called my bank, and they are disputing the charge. Can I refuse the package (coming via UPS) and will that be enough to show I sent it back?

    On October 21, 2011 I ordered a Mer-Man reissue and the same day I received the mail from Matty that my order was shipped.
    On November 4, 2011 I received a strange email:
    "We wanted to let you know that your request for a refund has been processed."
    I immediately asked informations about that but I never received an answer
    On December 11, 2011 I sent an e-mail to know where was my Mer-Man and I discovered that refund was for Mer-Man! Why?
    On December 13, 2011 Jacqueline D. told me: "We show that you have refuse the order."
    So on December 13, 2011 I wrote this mail:
    "First of all I never refused an order, especially a very important order like this, and on 21st of october I payed 28,95 dollars and on 4th of november I received 19,26 dollars. I asked for what was that refund but I never had an answer. It's quite impossible that your shipment was arrived here in Italy then back to U.S.A. in 14 days, because your shipments take 25/45 days to arrive here in Italy..
    So please can you help me? Thanx"

    On December 15, 2011 Aprilyn R. told me the same story of Jaqueline: "We show that the purchase was refunded because the figure was shipped back to our warehouse. We apologize but we can't process a reinstatement for the purchase."
    On December 15, 2011 I wrote another mail:
    "14 days (Oct 21 - Nov 4) to arrive here in Italy and go back to U.S.A. is pure Sci-Fi!
    It’s impossible! How can I say that?
    I ordered several AF from you and that’s how many days I waited:

    Stratos, May 26 – July 11: 46 days
    Clawful: July 15 – August 30: 46 days
    Buzz Off, July 22 – Sep 07: 46 days
    Beast Man and Man E Faces, Aug 15 – Sep 21: 37 days
    Leech, Sep 15 – Oct 07: 22 days

    However, my precious item is gone but I want my money back!
    On 4th of november I received 19,26 dollars but I payed 28,95 dollars so I want my 9,69 dollars back!
    Can you help me, please?
    Thanx."


    Finally on December 16, 2011 Inna Taag told me "We are processing your refund for order: 10282865523 for the shipping charge of $9.95." and on December 17, 2011 Jayson D. repeated me "We are processing your refund for order: 10282865523."

    So finally I won and I received the refund. As you can see people at Digital River were always different so I had to repeat the same things over and over...

    Ah, just out of curiosity the time to receive the figures isn’t changed at all:
    Vikor And Goddess: November 25 – January 25: 61 days
    Mer-Man and Faker: January 17 – March 2: 45 days
    Demo-Man: January 20 – March 5: 45 days

    My suggestion is to never surrender and to keep writin' emails 'til they, finally, will listen to you!

    Reading some of the other horror stories on this thread I decided to drive to the UPS office 40 miles away to get my package to spare the whole “refund” solution.

    DR…you are worthless AND you are gonna owe me big time!

    Why? WHY do I have to go thru this with one of my favorite lines?

    Im so hacked off. Because I have asked for replacement figures in the past due to bad paint apps or warped limbs etc, Ive now been told I am unable to have any further replacements for any figure. Further more, when I asked if I could purchase a replacement I was still told no! This is crazy. As a customer if im not happy with a figure for whatever reason, I should be given the option for a replacement. When I email digital river I often have to wait at least 4 days for a dissipointing response. Nobody seems to want to know once you have paid for your figure of the month. How in the hell do I replace any futher defective figures? Are they breaking the customer service laws in refusing me?

    That's weird. I think maybe you should try contacting a different rep. Maybe try via phone (Skype should be free since it's a toll-free US number).

    I can see them not sending replacements until you return yours, but not denying them outright. However, I do not believe it's a "law" that they're breaking.

    I think it's a miscommunication or the rep who said that is simply wrong.

    Time to give up your crappy sub or cancel your credit card, and to buy from the secondary market, I guess.
