This pretty much sums up how I feel about him (forgive my poor photoshop skills...)

If true, this will easily be the one figure I do not pick up.

    Right back at ya Sallah!

Actually I thought you did a great job with your 'No-Larr' pic. But I couldn't resist the temptation to counter your anti-Mo-Larr propaganda with a little pro-Mo-Larr propaganda of my own

    All in good fun, eh?

Good stuff. The .Org does a better job with balanced coverage than most media!
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

Yeah, I'm not feeling the love for Mo-Larr either. Seems like wasted tooling when you consider there are actually characters from the mythos people want to see. Love Robot Chicken but I'd rather get a figure from the line of toys not a spoof.

I would be fine with this being one of the bonus figures. But as a SDCC fig..eh. Don't get me wrong I LOVE the MOTU Robot Chicken Stuff. Teelas sex tape scandal is hilarious and the one where they off he man is brilliant.
But a con exclusive? Maybe if it comes with volume 2 of the art book.
Just my opinion though. Don't hate me Seth and the guys Of RC..actually hire me if you can. Would be an honor to be part of the show

    I agree...

i don't see Hasbro doing Spaceballs figures to be incorporated into their StarWars line (even though i'd love to have Spaceballs toys!! as a seperate toyline). Has it been confirmed that there will be a Mo-larr figure? or is it still just a rumor?

an easy pass for me... even though the completist in me would say to 'catch them all'.

someone has to do the dental work in Eternia... but i could live without having spoof characters incorporated into this line...there's more than enogh 'real' characters to make as it is.

i guess wun-dar must be the official cook in Eternia then, since he's brought a loaf of bread to the battlefield. that's the only spoof figure i think we'd need imo.

yeah, i said I'd love to have a spaceballs toyline... just not one that's shoehorned in as part of the Star Wars toyline.

IMO spoofs should be seperate from that which they are spoofing....

again, does anyone know if there really will be a Mo-larr or not? I mean, maybe their 'celebrity' figure could be a Dolph Lundgren He-man figure... who knows? iMO, that would be exclusive worthy....

Don't mean to be Negative Nancy (well, actually most of the time I do) but there is no way a Spaceball toyline is going to happen. The only way George Lucas gave Mel Brooks permission to spoof his characters was if Mel Brooks would not do any merchandising from the film (Mel Brroks states this in the film commentary of the collector's edition of Spaceballs). That's why we have not seen any toys (or other merchandise) from the film. Although personally I would love a Lord Dark Helmet (with lifting helmet visor and authentic Schwartz action, President Skroob with saluting action and Colonel Sanders with crotch protecting action. Throw in some Ping Pongs and I would be ecstatic.

I don't see the point behind that line of thinking. Which is better - The Sorceress being a monthly release available to subscribers and anyone else online, or being an exclusive that's difficult to obtain at SDCC? I'd say a convention exclusive is the perfect place for a character not many people want.

More on the "We really wanna wait on new tooling" sorta stuff, ya know? Not saying you WERE getting sorceress, but with the $$ in tooling for a figure only a handfull of people care about, you coulda had her.

Assuming its Mo-Larr, lets hope Seth Green paid for the cost of tooling, so Matty was free to use its tooling budget for the other SDCC exclusive.

Well, some people seem to forget that the convention exclusives Mattel offers aren't exactly "exclusives", because they sell them also on mattycollector (ok- with slight changes...but I do not want a bare chested He-Ro just to see that he has a sticker). Those "exclusives" are not THAT hard to get- at least not harder than the other figures.

I'm beginning to feel that we've been totally had. If so, this Mo-Larr thing has been the best joke in a long while (and I'm still happy if he's real, but I doubt it). I'm sure I'll remember this for a long time.

YEAH! Mattel should totally make an "Unemployed Skeletor" action figure as a SDCC on NYCC exclusive!......don't look at my forum name, my statement has nothing to do with what I just wrote.

Seriously tho, it would be my Geek Oscar.
