I appreciate him for the novelty value, but I will never consider Mo-Larr to be a real MOTU character, even if they do make a toy of him.

Well, we'll see for sure if Mattel has stayed with Mo-Larr in 2 days. TG said we would find out about the SDCC items at NYTF because something wasn't finalized for Gallery1988 (paint apps, copyright problem, who knows).

So, if it turns out NOT to be Mo-Larr (they could change their minds), this thread can be closed.

I still think he's a neat concept and good for cross-promotion. We should have some fun with this line! For those that don't like him, you don't have to buy him. Just be happy the exclusive isn't like Keldor. Everyone remember what happened with Keldor? Only available at the con, sky-rocketing re-seller prices...eek.

I think exactly the same ! And while MaHell begins to sell non-MOTU characters, others long awaited MOTU figures are delayed (or might never be produced, for that matter) !

Sorry, but I really HATE what's going on at the moment : as soon as the subscriptions began, we saw repaints/variants/bonus figures appear.

Then, there is the issue with all the uniquely tooled characters that are delayed because MaHell wants the shared-tooling option in order to cut the costs and make easy money.

And NOW, we even begin to see non-MOTU chatracters appear ! What the heck is going on ? Did MaHell decide to kill MOTU, once again ?

I agree with DarkSpecter when he says that we're not obliged to buy the repugnant Mo-Larr, but on the other hand, I would have prefered to see Darius, Shadow Weaver (I still hope that Mattel will buy the Filmations rights, but I don't hold my breath anymore...) or any other MOTU figure for that Matter !

I REALLY hope this Mo-Larr thing is just a bad joke. We'll be fixed on Sunday...

I hate He-Man, but love Skeletor. Does that make me not a true fan? No I just have different tastes.

Batman fans and Superman fans do the exact same thing. If you don't follow whatever groupthink they ordain to the letter, you're not a "true fan" and thus are unwelcome in the fandom. Or, at the very least, you need to be taught what you can and can't like or what you can and can't think. Is it really so shocking that He-Man fans do the same thing?

Personally, I see nothing whatsoever wrong with Mo-Larr. As I said before, I can take a joke and poke fun at things I like. Acknowledging Robot Chicken does no harm that I can see. But I guess that means I'm not a "true fan," because having a sense of humor about the things you love is apparently insulting and degrading to them. And it's not just here, it's the same with every fandom I've seen.

I think it's sad that we now have a "toothless" Skeletor, but no Skeletor with Alcala head yet...

This whole 2-pack seems a bit retarded to me... Oh well ! Other guys will maybe be happy to get it.

Nevertheless, I'm still afraid that this Mo-Larr thing will delay (or even prevent) the release of actual MOTU and much anticipated characters...
