I would buy 4 Horde Wraiths.
I would buy 4 Horde Wraiths.
i would also buy multiples of the horder sorcerrs. Id prefer them over shadow weaver anyway. I dont get the fan base. But then again im only a fan of the 200X series. I tried watching the other series and couldnt even watch a whole episode.
I'd be happy with some of those guys ... but I would much rather wait for a real Shadow Weaver.
Is Shadow Weaver a def NO? If so what a bummer!
I'd definitely get 3-4 of them to display around Hordak (and eventually The Horde)!!
I'd be willing to pay around $80 to have a MOTUC Shadow Weaver that looked like the Filmation cartoon character. She's such a huge fan favourite, I'm sure plenty other people would too.
Surely it can't cost Mattel so much to buy the rights to the character that they still wouldn't make a profit selling figures of her? They could call her a deluxe figure and put the price up and many of us would still pay it just to have her!
But anyway, if they can't do that, I'd still love it for them to at least give us the 200X Horde wizard figure so at least we have a Horde dark magician to fill Shadow Weaver's role! I'm sure they'd sell well.

i would buy a motuc shadow weaver & 200x male warlocks done as motuc.
Depends on how they do the cloak.
If they do it as a single layer, large and unmovable hard plastic? Not that much. On the other hand, if they did it as a multilayered soft plastic, perhaps taking a cue from Toy Biz's Minas Tirith Citadel Guard, then moreso.

If they decided to in some way charge more for Filmation characters, and did some sort of preliminary pre-order for them, they could charge accordingly. For example, my guess would be that Shadow Weaver would be the very first Filmation character Mattel would do, having said that, they take pre-orders for her figure on her website, limitless mind you. Mattel charges say, 50.00 each, may be less the more you order, like say order 10 get 10% off or something. They take those numbers to the suits, they maybe buy just the rights to only Shadow Weaver at first (not sure that would fly), then see if it's profitable. Even if Mattel just profits $100,000.00 it would be worth it as throwing the fans a bone. Thinking about it though, even female fans of POP would come out of the wood work to get just her. I'm with y'all, I had to custom make a Shadow Weaver to go with my MOTUC set. Eventually I think we will get her, just a matter of will we have grey hair when it's so?
I was just thinking....
If they do make the Faceless One as a figure, like it's rumored they will...
Maybe some of his parts could be reused as parts for the Horde Wizards?

YEAH! Bring them on! I'd definitely buy a Horde Wizard, and if they were released as a two pack, I wouldn't mind that either.
Have:
1. Man-At-Arms MOC
2. Trap-Jaw rerelease MOC
3. Tons of DCUC
4. He-Ro's Red Stoned Staff
Want:
1. Pre-Eternia He-man w/ Etherian map
2. He-Ro's Purple and Green Staffs
They can be a lot, especially for the most popular kid's property of the 80's with talk of a movie being bandied about. Mattel needs to get the rights back if there's going to be a movie, but the cost isn't going to be peanuts. They're likely going to pay a LOT more than what they sold them for a while back, and just a small line like MOTUC isn't going to justify that outlay.
"I will use this power for all the good that can be done, to work for peace, to encourage virtue, and above all, to preserve life in all its forms..." Superman
I'd love to share some love .......... but only for Motuc Shadow Weaver..... she will sell out fast no question about it.........it will be a very profitable character to make
"The most powerful man in the universe..."
"I was summoned on the future..."
"Where hope seems lost..."
"A hero shall emerge to protect Eternia..."
I kind of expect a Horde Wraith actually because of the shared parts with the Faceless One (unless they give him/them legs).
No offense to anyone in particular, but I thought Mattel's point about a female Horde Wraith and Shadow Weaver was very clear: They can and will make a MYP Horde Wraith. The Horde Wraiths in MYP were not Shadow Weaver, nor an obvious attempt to remake her, and therefore not an attempt to get around the Filmation rights to give the fans a character that Mattel doesn't own. Mattel never said they wouldn't make the wraiths as they appeared in the show, just that they wouldn't modify that to make a non-Filmation Weaver. More likely they actually will make the Horde Wraiths before too long. They could make one next year even, and before most Horde characters at that. They'd be a very easy two-pack.

I would happily buy a Horde Shadow Priest as it's own character, not to warm Shadow Weaver's spot on my shelf, but it is a total bonus that this figure could do that. Having one of these figures will not stop me wanting a Shadow Weaver.
PRO CLASSIC POP TOY DESIGN ELEMENTS BEING USED IN MOTUC TO COMPLEMENT THE FILMATION DESIGNS!!!!
I FULLY SUPPORT THE INCLUSION OF ILLUMINA IN MOTUC!!!!!
IF YOUR SICK OF WAITING FOR A LIGHT TO APPEAR AT THE END OF THE TUNNEL, STRIDE DOWN THERE AND LIGHT THE BLOODY THING YOURSELF!!!!!!!
I hereby lay down $60 on a table for some Shadow Wraiths (male).
Matty, the only reason you should make the male shadow wraiths should be if you like money.
You do... like....money, don't you?![]()
Etherian Rebel JOSH for the MOTUC (see my avatar)!
Hope it's soon![]()

Not to dampen anyones spirits on SW, but I made a thread ecently showing that with characters available, they could easily keep the line going to the end of 2016 with characters available that they don't have to pay for. So put yourselves in Mattels shoes, why would you?
I'm not saying they wont, I'd love it, and I'm sure if TG can find a way to do it he would, I reckon he wants a SW figure to!

Toymaker I agree with your business logic. If Mattel wanted the Filmation rights they would have been purchased already.
