I'm not the biggest Horde fan, but Hurricane Hordak could be pretty good.

As others have said, Buzzsaw Hordak would be pretty pointless.

Although I can live with the likes of Battle Armor He-Man and Skeletor, personally I'd like to see more "new release" characters over variants - if we get that kinda thing at all, I'd want to see it in the very late stages of the line.

I'm not particularly interested in the vintage Hordak variants being made into Classics figures. I think a Battle Armor Hordak might be quite fun though.

I don't personally want a blue Hordak, but I think it would be a nice touch for the Filmation fans.

Having not owned either of the variants as a kid, I wasn't exactly sure how varied these were; it's difficult to tell in some pictures. But I definitely stand by the idea that Mattel should maybe put out a Horde On Eternia style Hordak in this style:

I can then get Hordak to do me some baby stealin'! (or, erm, maybe not!)

Styleguide Hordak needs a new head & armour. Not a two-pack option.

I'm up for both Buzz Saw and Hurricane Hordak. I think the 4H are creative enough to work something out to give us both of those. I have faith in them.

Hasn't Toy Guru basically confirmed via off-hand hints that one of the Hordak variants from the original line is gonna be used as the "Filmation-y" mechanical Hordak, at least bio-wise? I'd like to see blue Hordak with the Hurricane attachments plus the Filmation arm cannon.

Further to what I said above...

Two different Hordaks, from pictures on this very site. WITHOUT looking it up, which is which...

And then tell me that it's justifiable to do straight MotUC updates of them both in the sub, while "styleguide" Hordak should be a TRU two-pack.

    This.

Hurricane Hordak in blue would work for me. I'd hope for a second blue arm to replace his blaster.

I'm pretty sure the one on the left is regular Hordak and the one on the right is Buzz Saw Hordak.
Still, I agree that if nothing shoots out of the chest, these are probably too similar to bother with.

If we get HH, I hope his attachments are made to fit Trap Jaw and Roboto so we have more repaints for weapon packs.
    Thanks

The only Hordak that I care about is the blue filmation styleguide
version with all of the add on body parts for his toon transformation scenes
and also his rocket body and etc. add in accessories plus a cape to take on and off.

Also his little bat sidekick should be added in.

Great idea...hope that Toy Guru is reading

No interest in Buzz-Saw Hordak, but I would like to see Hurricane Hordak.

Gold armor, but not vac metal. Keep it like He-Ro's, for consistency.

Arm attachments could work by flicking them with your finger. I'm all for it.

Even if rights weren't a problem, there's no WAY they would pack all of that in. I mean, what would you need? At the very least, you'd be looking at two "normal" arms, two "robot" arms, two blaster arms, the alternate lower-arm blaster, the lower-body rocket, the whole-body rocket, the whole-body drill, the whole-body tank...

We're up to about $70 already, I think. The tank alone is about the size of Battle Cat .

I've been thinking for a long time that Mattel should combine Hurricane/Buzz saw Hordak into 1 variant figure.

I like the idea of the gold armor being done like that of He-Ro.

Surely all of the attachments should be included.

I'm a "no" for the action feature. I'd rather the attachment arm have a cool sculpt and articulation.

I also wouldn't want a cape on this figure, just because I would want it to mirror the original.
I agree 100%, i also hope they don't do the smooth abs & give him regular abs the way they did with He-ro.

The only thing I can say about it is that unless it's blue like in "Styleguide" or whatever. Heck with it, I'm not gonna try to be proper.

Of course it should come with the proper accessories. But unless it's at least a blue body, I have no intrest in it.

I owned one. But it was my "Filmation" one as it had "changable" weapon arms, like in the cartoon.

In MOTUC I've decided that gray original Hordak is like Hordak from MYP, who I'm saying is Horde Prime, or Supreme, whatever. Magic Hordak.

Blue Hordak, Filmation Hordak, is the "Current" Hordak of Etheria. Tech Hordak.

So unless there's a blue Hordak I dont need another one.

Come on, guys a blue Hurrican Hordak would be a great filmation tribute. I know, I'm dreaming, but I can dream.

Maybe they need to sell all of his accessories as a beast pack of some sorts separate from his blue filmation figure with only 2 sets of arms.

I would give him 2 removable right arms --- one grey, and one blue tech arm. That way you can display him with the classic grey arm (that holds the hurricane weapons), or a Filmation style blue arm that also holds the weapons. A simple repaint of the Kronis arm would work well for Hordak's tech arm.

As for Buzzsaw Hordak, I think it would be cool to turn the figure into more of a "Battle Armor Hordak" figure. Give him battle armor like the Guards, He-Man, and Skeletor have. One of the removable plates that plug into the chest armor could be made so that it has a buzzsaw on it.

Should Filmation & Buzz Saw Hordaks Be Combined?

I think these last 2 Hordak variants can be killed with one stone. We all know that Buzz Saw Hordak bears no major style change from the original Hordak.

And with the no action feature rule, I don't see a pop out chest feature being used. I would think Buzz Saw would simply be a chest/armor attachment.

The way I see it, Mattel could use the new Hurricane Hordak to make the Filmation, blue version and give us the Buzz Saw armor attachment.

This way, we've got our Filmation version and if you wanted an authentic vintage Buzz Saw Hordak, you can swap the Buzz Saw armor onto the first Hordak.

2 birds with one stone, freeing up the A List Variant slots for more diversified variants.

    Thoughts?

    Agreed.

I feel the same way about Laser Power Skeletor and NA Skeletor. They are basically the same figure with different heads (sort of).

Personally, I'd rather they just skip "Buzz Saw" altogether, and just do style-guide Hordak as a new variation.

That way all tooling costs go to making SG Hordak the best it can be (different interchangable arms maybe?), and not be wasted on saw/cog attachments that do not pertain to SG Hordak.

    I agree with this idea
