I would be up for the unproduced figure Basher being made in the color-scheme of Goat-Man...although I worry that such a thing would tread on that "pushing it" threshhold which Mattel veers away from.

(For that matter, I'm all for any of the concept figures, be they Fighting Foe Men or new recruits to original factions-although part of me wants Fuerza T to show up as FFM.)

Whoever owns GoldenBooks now owns the right to any characters that are in there that don't already belong to Mattel. I always thought Mattel owned GoldenBooks but now am not to certain. The only hope for Goat-Man actully relies on Zodac Zur, since the pic used for his cardback was from "The Sword of Skeletor" which was published by GoldenBooks and was from 2 waves Right before "The Dragon's Egg" which is the book Goat-Man Appeared in. This was also the second set of the 2 stories to use Prince Adam and Filmation-like Character Models(the other book being "The Rock Warriors" which has nothing to do with Rokkon or Stonedar).

If we ever get the rights to produce these figures, then I think we should get Andros, Goatman, and Basher all as seperate figures. For what ever reason, I have always imagined Basher as the lving embodiment of the Havoc Staff, in fact, I recently saw a custom someone did of just that and Thought that would work Perfectly with Basher.

Andros and Goatman are two different looking to make them the same character, its not like rattlor and General Rattlor, you couldnt just combine the two, its more like Tung Lashor and Tung(Horde: I refer to him as Tangalor), Vizar and Detector, Crystollar and Karatti, and Zodac and Zodak, their looks are very different , So different that its possible to create new Characters from it. And Both Andros and Goatman are 2 new characters, that after everyone from the vintage MOTU, POP, NA, 200x and Proto figures are made are excellent characters to swell the ranks of multiple factions. Drawing from that existing media is the way to go when we look beyond 2017, and these are the characters they should be considering.

Um... Hell YEAH I WANT ONE!!! I really love all these concept/never before made figures coming out. I'm in no hurry for this line to end(Even though my wallet is) But that custom figure on page one is awesome and I'd be happy to add this guy to my collection one question though... What faction is he? I'm guessing Evil Warriors?

I think he will be high up on the list of considered characters from this new acquisition. I hope so. He would be a very cool figure to add to the collection. Wouldn't require much new tooling, either...

Wow, awesome! I am so happy about this. Goat Man always looked like he would surely be a figure back in the 90's.
I waited for him but he never showed up.

So I am a bit confused. Did Filmation create the characters in the books and the magazine (Strobo) then?

He is available now! If you watch the sdcc panel, toyguru states they have filmation, jet lag, golden books, and magazine rights. Basically, they have everything now other than the '87 movie.
