He only said, it "looked like a retooled Dark Knight figure (blonde Christian Bale head with hair extensions, armor all painted like the Battle Armor along with classic cross, and with a real fur loin cloth)."
Still no one mentioned what the concept really was meant for.
Nevertheless, I think Emiliano, your design of BA He-Man would also look awesome in the movie:

Well, I did: my opinion is that both sculpts from that page are concept explorations for a possible movie.
For sure they are not from the 2002 series, as they containt sculpt elements created after that line was closed (The Dark Knight body, the Staction base, etc.)
Their realistic look and the departure from the classic look suggest me the idea bout the movie exploration, and time frame fit right enough. From my experience at Hasbro, stuff like that isn't uncommon to happen.
Other than that, no one cas say for certain unless Mattel or the 4H tell us more.
Thank you!Nevertheless, I think Emiliano, your design of BA He-Man would also look awesome in the movie:

So.... about that Horde Armor design... lol, I'm wondering now if the Horsemen will EVER reveal their concept for it.
Me too, I've always been curious to see it. I've always wondered how it would be introduced. Would it be an upgrade to the Snake hunter armour for fighting the Horde or could it be just He-man trying to disguise himself as a Horde guard to infiltrate them at some point?
They showed a power point-presentation at 2011 Power-Con if memory serves me correctly. There was illustration of Dragstor and a photo of a prototype Horde Armor He-Man (the only
images have been very blurry, unfortunately)
Story-wise, most likely when Horde would have taken over in cartoon, The Power of Grayskull would have adapted He-Man's gear, just like with Snake Men.

Wish List: Eldor, Skeleton Warriors, King Argho, Horde Wraiths, Kobolds, Prahvus, Lord Masque, Rock Monster, Gen. Tartaran, Evil Seed, Carnivorous Plant, Lizard-Man, Hawke, Crimson Fury, Melaktha, Extendar, Spinwit, Ra-Jarr, Kelclar, King Miro, Dare, Missile-Toe, Sh'gora, Vizar, Harpy, ABC Giants, Lodar, Dragoon, Darius, Seahawk, Masks of Power Demons, Slob-Boar, Bubblor, Three-Beast
Probably about as likely to happen as that unreleased Smash Blade He-Man mini comic we've been teased with on and off for years.
It is either Mattel blocking any possibility to reveal the design based on some copyright claim or the creators (either the horsemen or the myp people) not wanting to reveal anything based on invoking some kind of intellectual property claim, which is kind of stupid since really the design might as well be shown since it is NEVER going to be used in any sort of animated property.
Of course, sometimes, it is best not to have things like that revealed, because they sometimes are horrendous ideas.
I liked the MVC comic of MOTU just fine, but the plans to have He-Ro become King Grayskull by drinking the blood of Tytus?! .................................................. ....................creepy vampire vibe....

Thanks for the heads up, Jukka. I found it. http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...-200X-Dragstor
You're right, it is blurry. Hard to tell what it's supposed to really look like. Though from what I can tell it may be something more akin to Battle Armour He-man, but with a bigass shield and sword. I like the big sword (kinda like Fisto's), but I'm not sure about the large shield. I wonder if we asked the 4H if they would release a clearer picture and maybe a brief explanation of the sculpt (I'd be interested to hear their thoughts on it).
I expect you're right. Though I can't help but wonder how many big armour changes He-man could go through before it stops complimenting the story and becomes less about him learning to use the Power of Grayskull to selling a new toy. Mind you that might just be because in my mind I'd have liked to see a retelling of Secret of the Sword and have He-man/Prince Adam disguise himself in armour like that of the Horde Troopers seen in the MYP cartoon.
On a side note, the link also provides a pic of Dragstor. He looks pretty cool there and I'd have loved to have seen him in the MYP toon (loved him as a kid).
I'm hoping at Power Con this year the 4HM might show us some more previously unseen sketches like they did with Dragstor last year, and it would be really cool if they had the 2-up Horde Buster He-Man at the con so fans could take better photos of it![]()

? That is supposed to be an 'upgrade' over the snake armor? From what I got from the story that was being told through the second season of the cartoon and the figures is that when the situation grows more serious and He-Man needs more battle gear, Grayskull armors him with more weaponry than normal and suits of armor that provide more coverage.
So, basically, the Snake Men threat needed He-Man to upgrade to a more full suit of body armor and additional weapons(the new shield and the snake grabber bracer), but, when the Horde invades and conquers Eternia, He-Man is 'upgraded' to a giant sword and a giant shield........................and the harness from his 'Jungle Attack' gear. More like downgraded.
Yup, it was best that this idea didn't make it to the official franchise.
