    Page 7 & 8:

Here we see the original home of He-man. It's the barbarian He-man we're talkin' about, so no royal palace or whatever, the hero is no pink dressed prince, but a rough warrior who built his home with his own hands using rock and wood.

That's just Zodac in action. The guy is a great character but his lack of appearence in the first wave of minicomics damaged his status and made him forgetable in comparrisson of the other seven MOTU of the first wave.

    Page 9 & 10:

An important thing I'd like to make straight is that Skeletor is very powerfull, a real threat for He-man and for whoever cross his path, he's a warrior and a sorcerer and he lead a legion of monstrous warriors. The havoc staff and the halves of the power sword are just means to channel and magnify the actual power of the one who wields it. If a weakling hands one of those things, nothing will happens, you agree?

Damn, finally Skeletor has regained his half of the power sword! And it feels right, no? After all it was included in the packaging of his action figure!

Oh. My. God! I am totally in love with you right now Dan!

Seriously though, this is awesome - I've always wanted to see somekind of comic done by you, and this... an early Alcala style mini-comic project is absolutely exciting!

I don't normally read fan fiction (there's usually too many words and too few pictures for my tastes), but these are so awesome I wish I had high resolution images to make copies to keep with my collection!

Though I am in the camp that believes Zodac is evil

Oh no! Zodac was a good guy! Don't say otherwise or I'll cry!
The resolution I'm posting the plates should be high enough to print the pages the same size of the original minicomics, I think.
    Now page 11 & 12:

Here Skeletor has achieved only one half of the sword, still, I'd want to emphatize the fact that it can magnify his own power highly. After all, back then, it looked like he could do almost everything through his "energy blade".

...and so He-man goes KO, now it's Zodac turn to show his mettle.
As I have speculate by the early art and sketches designs, Zodac wasn't intended as a god-like figure or a Watcher/Green-lantern type, but just as a outworldly sentinel, with high science and tecnological knowledge at his disposal.
A scifi soldier stranded in a world of barbarian warlords and sorcery.
And I want him to USE that damn gun!

I take it back; Zodac was never a bad guy! Though I'm only saying that because I don't want you to cry. If you cried, you might not make any more of these, and then I'd be crying

I like the idea of Zodac just being a sentinel as you describe, especially using the gun. It seems like the kind of thing an enforcer, good or evil, should do

As for the print size, after a quick look in Photoshop they look smaller than I make my stuff for that size, but I'll definitely be doing a test run soon! When I do, I'll be sure to post pics. Not that I was asking nor expecting you to make them available as big as I want them; just verbalizing my wishes.

Try to download it from my DA page, it should be better.
For Zodac being good or evil, who cares? For me all MOTU canon are just parallele dimensions, so everyone wishes can be fullfilled.
And remember, in some different world Stratos is the evil Avatar and Tri-klops is an heroic warrior...

Absolutely right! I think we were the lucky ones to get introduced to 'possibilities' early on in life. As a kid, I always played something that could happen, and no matter what, it did, in some corner of existence. Like your MOTU reality where technology doesn't exist. I LOVE what you did with that!!!

And I love your work here. So true to the original tales. Would you ever consider introducing characters done after the Alcala stories? I've seen your work with He-Ro and Preternia. It'd be great to see your take on characters like She-Ra, for instance, in that other reality. (Perhaps mask, dress, no cape, like her early mini comics?)

I was just joking around about Zodac; I'm a fan of parallel dimensions! Especially the one that has Avatar, flying on wings of wickedness!

And I didn't even think to check DA; awesome! I think I'll do a mock-up tomorrow before work!

    Page 13 & 14:

Zodac firing energy blasts at Skeletor is something I bet none of you has ever seen, rigth?

I know, I know, he looks like he's going to say "I have the power!", no way to have him holding the sword without this feeling...
