Illumina Support/Speculation thread!

Illumina would be a cool figure to own even though i know noting about the character other than seeing the picture that is posted on the 200x motu comic book. i strongly welcome this figure. i like to have a few more female characters but am not into the she-ra line so this would be nice.

I was hoping there was some sort of "create-a-character" contest I didn't know about.. and the winner has an appearance in the MVC Comic.

But calling the people who worked on the official comic during the 200X time period fans is pretty rude, imo.

I bought their comics in a brick and mortar store!! I didn't think you could buy fan fiction like that.. this really leaves a bad taste in my mouth...

I would get one, hell its about the easiest way to reuse the Teela mold they have already whored out 3 times (Teela, Goddess, Evil Lynn)

She cannot be anymore obscure than Wun-Dar, Goddess, or He-Ro.

Having said that, I'd love to have her!!! She has a cool wintery elf look to her, she's attractive, and she has a giant cat. What's not to love?

I want her, but again, please no more Teela dresses. I could see her and 200X Evil-Lyn sharing a similiar dress though. It'd be a compromise I could go for.

I would love this figure as well. Illumina looks cool and is based on the existing female sculpt... As for the backstory issue: Wun-Dar's profile mentions that he was one of many warriors who protected the secrets of Grayskull.

I've never really got why this character is so popular,
I think I'd rather have Mattel put new tooling into characters such as Modulok first, but whenever Illumina does come along, I'd totally buy a figure of her.
New characters are always fun.

She's no more less obscure than characters such as Wun-dar, Eldor, or Goddess. So yes, she would fit right in and should be made.

In any case, Scott is calling into question the legitimacy of a contract between Mattel and one of its licensees.

MVCreations created Illumina, and an image of the character was published, under the terms of their license with Mattel, and during their contract with Mattel.

Therefore, Mattel OWNS the concept-character "Illumina." The only reason not to produce an action figure of this character, would be Scott Neitlich's desire not to... and if he is as concerned about pleasing the fans as he claims, then he should at least entertain the idea that the figure should be made.

Scott has proven capable of fitting any character's bio/backstory into his proposed direction for the franchise. He has done so with Wun-Dar, The Goddess, and Demo-Man. He can do the same with Illumina.. because Mattel owns the character.. just as they own The Star Sisters, and Vikor, and Demo-Man, etc.

I'd ask the 4H to make a proto of her, if they have the time (I'm sure they don't) and post it on their site.

Give us the figure, TG. We are the fans. We are the reason you will get a big-fat paycheck if you can get a movie into production. You can throw us a bone here.
