I don't know how you can't see it, but that nice clear shot from the side taken you can see in the shoulder area that it DOES articulate. Look near the collar bone area. There is a separation and you can also tell the arm is a separate piece from the torso.

I loved my vintage Tytus very much, so this is the one figure I must absolutely get.

Am I the only one who has no clue what Tytus is holding? Metal detector? Vacuum? Or perhaps he is Tytus the Eterian golfer!

bahahahaahaha!! Vaccuummmmmmmm (scares Battle Lion into a corner)

it's a grabber thing... it picks small people up by their heads (!!) which is great for Snakemen.

Whilst it's awesome we're getting Tytus it's a pity he's not fully articulated like the Marvel Legends BAF Galactus etc. Instead, Mattel have opted for the cheap route.

The 4H stated at the Fantastic Fanatics forums...
To cost effectively produce a figure at this scale, some portions of him had to be roto-molded rather than injection molded, and this meant that we also had to forego some of the existing MotU articulation. -FH-

There is no bloomin' way I'm passing on this boy. I never had the chance to get him in the 80s. (Only saw a really used and yucky one at a comic shop years and years later - had to pass.)

Mattel has yet to disappoint me with the new MOTUC line. I've lovin' every figure so far.

Finally I've found that I belong here.

I am very excited that Tytus is coming. My only complaint is in the bio. I am surprised they did not mention him being from Mammoth Valley like his original 80's bio stated.

I absolutely love Tytus and will defenitely get him! I just think that his weapon accessory - the grabbing thingy- is a bit out dated and looks kind of awkward. It also looks quite big, he'll never be able to hold it up and keep standing. I wish he would come with an extra accessory like a sword or a barbarian hammer or so...

I can´t believe it, but Ill have a Tytus in my collection.

The articulation is fine for me. If there is too much articulation the price grow up. The design is perfect, the weapon is perfect, the sculpt is perfect. I cant wait to see Megator.

He's an excellent figure! I am totally surprised to see him! Beautiful sculpt! The only articulation that bothers me that's not there is the ab crunch…only because he can't bend over to go after people. It's just a small nit pick that I'll get over because the figure is so freakin' awesome!

I could definitely see a Granamyr being released now. Would Mattel have a similar dragon figure to repaint from one of their other lines?

Even with the decreased articulation, there's nothing can dampen my joy over this announcement!

Tytus was a long shot, a MOTUC fantasy half-baked in wishful thinking and alcohol. Mattel's budgeting this line like my penny-pinching Aunt Kathy... nothing short of retail success was going to bring Tytus and Megator to the table.

So to think that Mattel found some way... any way, to bring giants into the line this early... I can't even fathom being let down for what could be considered major sacrifices to articulation. Major on the scale of body design... minor compared to what I would've sacrificed to get this figure this soon, not even worthy a mention.

The sculpt is deadly accurate, and the face is hauntingly perfect. I don't even care if the only characters he can "catch 'n toss" are Orko and Tri-Klops' drones. Thank you, Mattel, for bringing your A-game in this line. Tytus is everything we never dreamed of, but never stopped wishing for.

    Powers of Grayskull... dig it.

Yeah, I thought the bio was interesting. Not sure what I think about Tytus building Castle Grayskull though. I like the origins of Grayskull being a lil more hazy. Don't explain everything Mattel! Leave some stuff to our imaginations.

Theres no typo, it says "build King Grayskull a fortress" in the context that he built a fortress for KG.

While I'm excited for Tytus, I'm much more excited that this means we'll be getting a Megator as well. I love bad guys.

Aesthetically, Tytus is a figure I cannot possibly pass ! Plus, he's quite important in the MOTU mythos too (see his bio) ! Let's hope that the quality of the figure is great, now, and that the marketing, availability, shipping and customer service will be decent...
