The Idea of doing Wun-Dar in the classics line is great, a very nice homage to the most mythological figure in MOTU universe. even for a He-man repaint ,he looks great, and the loaf of bread makes him a very good inside joke!!
Great review Dan! I never realized till you brought it up how many times Mattel has made something from that he-man mold (and you did not even add in the TRU 2 pack version)![]()

Thanks for the review! Did you receive the Map of Eternia with Wun-Dar? Are we going to see a review of that map also?

Nope, no map. I'll have to wait for my subsciption figure to get that. But since it's just a poster, I don't think I'll actually be able to do a review of it. Plus, I don't want to risk there being issues with me reviewing it like there was with the Art Book. Not sure if it'd be the same situation, but still want to be careful.![]()

Have they said why he doesn't have the longer loin cloth like the other figures from the past?

Pixel Dan, great review as usual! While it stinks that you can't use the Filmation music anymore, I love the synthesized background music bed you are currently using. It reminds me of the background music in 1980's movies and "old school" 8-bit Nintendo video game music. Since, for the most part, MOTUC is an homage to the 1980's MOTU toyline, it really fits.
Btw, what happened to the chattering teeth at the end of your videos? As cheesy as it was, I would always stay tuned until after the credits just to see the teeth and hear the voiceover say "Toy Talk".
Even though the only thing new about Wun-Dar is a loaf of bread, I LOVE this toy!!! I know some fans claim that blind nostalgia is the only reason a lot of people like Mattel's non-stop repaints & re-used parts, but that's not the reason for me. I love that all of these previously used parts, a few paint changes, and a fun bio can make a brand new character. Mattel may have originally done it(and still do) in order to save money, but I also think it shows the creativity of those in charge of toy designs.
I also LOVE the name Wun-Dar! Even though it's an inside joke for those who are aware of the Wonder Bread He-Man "urban legend", it really sounds like the name a character would have originally had in the 1980's line.
an other figure I don't need... lol![]()
Can't wait for him to arrive. Thanks for the review PD!

I really like how Pixel Dan can always come with some argument to stir people's desire to get the figure...
Even with Wun-Dar, who's nothing but a He-Man repaint (the 4th, already !).
I really wonder if Wun-Dar really has tighter joints... is this valid for ALL Wun-Dar figures, or was it just like that for Pixel Dan's ?Well, we'll still have to see if Wun-Dar won't suffer from the same eternal quality control issues (sloppy paint job, 2 left legs or feet,...), anyway.
I guess we'll find out some time in April...![]()
