I would very much like a fix on all the bloated armour figures, but especially NA skeletor ... i truly believe he could've easily become one of my favourites, if not favourite figure in this line thus far
PS: i also can't live with those optikk legs, so i stored him
One of the most demanded POP variants isn't on your list - a vintage toy deco Catra.
Honestly though, filling 2016 with variants would be a disaster. If you thought people complained about the number of variants in 2015, just wait til they see this list. I don't mind them especially, if there's a reason for them, but I'm not sure putting 'fixed forearm Frosta w/ bright white paint' in a sub is going to sell.
It's a big rock. I can't wait to tell my friends. They don't have a rock this big.
Here is what I would like to see done to get people Fisto and Teela. For a SDCC Exclusive have a 2 pack Fisto with Stridor and then offer a second 2 pack of Teela with a Large Zoar like in the vintage line. I loved having a huge Bird of prey when I was a kid. This would instantly open up for both a Nightstalker and Large Screech as well.
Would love to see
Cloak and dagger Evil lyn
And a Teela and Fisto reissue would be great for those who missed them
As a counterpoint to this discussion (sorry, there's always one), I really could care less about 2.0 versions of figures I already have. I'd much rather look to the future and get figures I DON'T already have. I won't list those choices out of respect for the spirit of this discussion, but I will say that if a 2.0 sub happens next year I will not be taking part in it.
Harken the coming of Dragstor!!
Strictly speaking about figures with flaws their execution:
Green Goddess (not exploding crotch)
Roboto (corrected shoulders)
King Hiss (corrected shoulders)
IG Skeletor (sculpted torso and corrected shoulders)
Stinkor (correct forearms)
I think we could call them "ultimate" line like, with GI JOE. I really have not collected GIJOE since child, but I had to have the new Cobra Commander that just was dead on comic/tv look. I think similar deluxe take on MOTU figures would appeal to collectors.
These figures could be more expensive then normal one, but would just come with tons of accessories and new stuff. What they have to be however is: Very well known characters that anyone who has seen He-man would probably know ( a bit like they are doing with MOTU giants now). While I would love another take on Faceless One... he would probably not be well known enough to allow that.
I could see:
- More 200x outfit, added articulation to wrists, fur cloak, still with two heads.
Alcala sword, Filmation head, 200x head, Alcala head recoloured with less demo-man green, foot and hand options (new sculpt that allows to change parts). Maybe added articulation to wrist?
- Comes with all the standard accessories and heads, but in additional Filmation and 200x heads. Maybe added articulation to wrist?
Most Wanted Crita, Veena, EvilSeed, Prahvus, Sagitar, Calix, Tuskador, Vultak, Dylamug, Masque, Sebrian, Dree Elle, Uncle Montork, King Miro, Granita, Hawke, Hunga, Kittrina, Quakke, Butthead, Hoove, Darius, Spinwit, Nocturna, Kayo, Lizzor, Artilla, Vizar, Staghorn, Lodar, Twiggets, Drissi, Lady Slither, Bubblor, Three Beast, Fang-Or, Great Black Wizard, Major Header, and Ra-Jar.
Since 2016 is supposed to be a 'refresh' of the line, bringing back characters that are hard to find or had serious issues is a must. These are my 'must haves' in this situation.
Teela - I don't know if we will get get a 200x style Teela, but a redone version of the character is overdue. I'd love it if she came with a Filmation or blonde Alcala head, but I'm not picky about the outfit. I wouldn't even mind her Battle-Armor look from the DC crossover comic. Irregardless, we need a new and improved look for our girl.
Evil-lyn - Cloak & Dagger aka REAL 200x Evelyn needs to finally join the line. I know the Filmation version has much love, but the MYP costume is so cool and detailed. It was one of my favorite updates in that line.
Frosta - I like my Frosta, but I had to repaint her head to toe to get her that way. That's not right, and she is definitely in need of a Battleground version. New head sculpt, proper colors, and a 4H-conceptualized Ice Armor outfit would be bees knees.
Roboto - the Classics vintage version cracks like a broken mirror, the shoulders are reversed, and it has a goofy duck-bill head. Time to bring on the bad-ass 200x mech, though I wouldn't be sad if they left the huge, asymmetrical boots behind.
Ice-Armor He-man - A favorite variant I never got because I never saw it on a retail peg. Ever. It's a fan favorite, a great look, and they could even give him a new Ice-axe accessory.
The General - we got this version of Rattlor's armor in the last weapons pack, but the character has a different look from the vintage figure. And more snake men is never a bad thing.
Buzz-off - I miss Toyfare, especially when the ran 'behind the scenes' articles where they showed off concept sketches of figures pre-production (hello Vikor and Demo-man). One of my favorite 'I wish they made that' concepts was the initial look for 200x Buzz-off, a monstrous, very insectoid creature that was scrapped by Mattel for the figure we ended up with because they were afraid it would scare children. I want that.
Skeletor - he has all his alternate looks but one; the vicious, bad-ass MYP version. It could come in the Flame Armor for that proper variant look and have a bonus Filmation head. And yes, I would love to see Disco-fever as well, but I know I'm in the minority on that one.
Goddess - mine is fine, but others have literally fallen apart. And she had a major role in the DC comic. More than enough reason.
Sorceress - I hope we'll see Veena before the end of 2015, but the Egyptian-themed 200x Teela-na is more than different enough to earn a variant figure.

Classics TGR figures should be Filmation-based, but they NEED MORE COWBELL!
Teela. Not bothered if it's a rebox with 'The Original' on or a Filmation Teela, or even a DC comics or 200X Teela but she's so rare and I can't afford secondary market prices. Blonde Bikini Teela just does not look like Teela to me.
That being said, 2.0s of the hard to get (expensive) key figures would be welcomed by me only since I came in late and didn't get them, BUT I do not want "Filmation" to be the style for 2.0. Dear Goddess, the Filmation crowd is becoming like an overwhelming horde.
I love Filmation, and I love a lot of the Filmation characters (my Plundor always makes me smile), but Filmation colours as a variant? Way too much.
There is demand. I see that. What I think is needed is some sort of mini-sub/line of its own . . . however one would go about it. It would sell, and that's good - but if it was kept in its own sub or collection or what have you, I'd be a lot happier.
I want Classics Teela. If there is a 2.0 of her, I want it to be a perfected/updated Classics Teela. Slap on the "Original" sticker, whatever. Filmation Teela is not a valid "here you go, now you can have a Teela!" It's almost insulting.
The one OP list item I can see myself supporting - and I would enjoy - would be a young Adam (200x style) simply because it fits into the bio narrative.

Orko: It's like the Sorceress said: sometimes, the ones who seem the worst, need our help the most.
He-Man: You're learning.
maybe do a couple 2 packs sprinkled throughout the yr:
Classics Teela & Filmation Teela
Classics Teela with Sorceress
Ram man & Fisto
Tri Klops & Trap Jaw
Beastman & Merman
or a holiday gift pack of 4
Teela, Fisto, Ramman & Sorceress
Beastman, Triklops, Trap jaw and Whiplash
My tribute to MOTUC video using still photos of MOTUC figures with filmation music : http://www.he-man.org/forums/boards/...ibute-to-MOTUC
Off the top of my head, these are figures I'd like to see new versions of, either because I really like the character and want more of 'em or because I thought the first version wasn't up to par for whatever reason and could be great with some improvements:
Must-Haves in 2015: Lord Masque, Quakke, Sagitar, Negator, Peekablue, Granita, Dragstor, Crita, Prahvus, Classic Toy Costume Catra Vs. Starburst She-Ra
In addition to all the figures mentioned above, maybe an actual "Spirit" horse....without the wing holes....maybe somehow they could do a charger/spirit since they have the tooling...they just need to get rid of the holes....if at all possible.
Filmation Mer-Man, Clawful, Leech, Skeletor ...
MOTUC Top 5 Wish List: FILMATION MER-MAN, Vultak, Peekablue, Laser-Light Skeletor, Hunga.
Any figure than actually broke easily.
That's really about it. The rest is what it is. We'll get alternate versions when another line comes out.
I see "Filmation versions" and "whatever versions" as interpretations of the originals that were adapted for screen/paper/other and altered for cost effectiveness.
Pop Culture Shock - Filmation Statues (top 5 most wanted): Sorceress, Skeletor, Man-E-Faces, Mer-Man and Two-Bad! AND, hurry up with Evil Lynn, her reveal is what got me started.
Roboto's needs attention ASAP. He is a figure that there will be a shortage of later in life because he is breaking for no reason, even on card.
If you want new and obscure characters then you have to get the new versions of popular characters. Most of the A-lister figures will be 6-7 years old by 2016.
GI Joe collectors pay, what, 3 times as much for the obscure guys on the sub. Everyone else buys the retail stuff with all the Snake Eyes, Dukes, Cobra Commanders, etc... I highly doubt people lining up to sub for a 60 dollar Crackers the Clown.
Not trying to start anything but the character selection on this line has been superb and that's been a miracle when compared to other lines that have to release ALL A-List characters EVERY YEAR to get maybe 1 or 2 new characters.
And I'm sure there'll be a whole bunch of new and 'jumped ship but want to get back in' collectors who only get interested with A-list main characters. Only way to move forward with a nostalgia property is to go back and revisit everyone's favorites regularly.
If it takes He-Man, Skeletor, Beast Man, Teela, Sorceress, Trap-Jaw 2.0's to get a Great Black Wizard then I'm all for it.
