Don't get your Moss Man wet!

The results are NOT good... (sorry for the crappy quality... we did this really quick at work with a digital camera)

Of course, I know most people won't be submerging there Moss-Men in water anytime soon. For most people, this will never be an issue as the glue seems fine under normal conditions.

...and before anyone jumps on us for destroying a Moss Man- My buddy had a loose knee on his and tried to fix it by heating up the knee in warm water. The surrounding flock came off immediately, so we thought it would be fun to do this experiment in a joking manner while also warning people NOT to get him wet! Don't take the whole thing too seriously... but do keep in mind that water will destroy his flock!

Wow, a plant you don't dare water.

Not that I plan on letting mine go swimming, but this is still good to know.

So there's everybody's way to de-flock Moss Man that wanted to. Just use water! Looks like Goo Gone might clean up the rest afterwards.

Adult action figures that don't do well when submersed in water and are then scratched at? What's next, toys that melt when placed in fire? I'm furious and stuff!

Dude.. it was done in fun. And truth be told, the majority fell off in the water. A little pinch here and there did the rest.

Like I said, simply a warning for those who thought about using water to fix any QC issues (stuck joints, loose pegs, etc).

My post wasn't serious either, no worries. It's actually a helpful warning since I have a cat that loves knocking over glasses of water.

Thats funny. But really, it seemed to me that the glue would be a bit tougher than that. Guess I will use only Miracle Grow from now on.
    Informative video, thanks.

Poor Mossy! He's going to get a lot of threads from Skeletor and Mer-Man if he doesn't join their side!
Skeletor: "Drag him into the water Mer-Man! That'll teach him to sneak up on us with his camouflaging "power"! Muahahaha"
Moss Man: "Nooo!!! I don't want to be bold! I need my Moss to be called Moss Man!"

Like J-Man said, this is good news to those who don't want the flock.

What are the sculpted details like on that 200X head? It's hard to see right now with the glue residue on there...

That said, NOT cool on the part of production to use such a weak glue! OUCH!

Slime wants to be a part of Moss Man, it wants to permanently fuse together with him. It will get very angry if you try to remove it and rips out Mossy's "hair" if you try to do so!

Anyway, thanks for the heads up
I wonder if a blow dryer might damage Moss Man if you need to fix him

I'm pretty sure the new Moss Man is sensitive to fungus as well, like the vintage Moss Man is.

A little more time in water (hot this time) and a little rubbing with a paper towel...

Is it sad that I kinda want an unflocked version now?

I used a hair dryer on mine to straiten out the leg. I had it blasting at high heat for like 2 minutes. It didn't hurt him.

Mine came with loose knees. I knew better than to dip him in water. I used a blow dryer on high heat also and it helped set the knee without removing his flocking. I may get dabs of an acrylic sealant into the joints to tighten things up a bit but I'm going to have to be careful and just put in a few dabs.
