How would you feel about a new faction being introduced to MOTUC?
Looking over some of the prototype sketches over at (the excellent) Grayskull Museum, I saw sketches for unproduced ‘Tree People’ (Robin Hood-like characters), for example.
How would you feel about such a group, be it good or evil (not necessarily tree people), introduced into the Classics line? Or would you rather it concentrated on what we already have?
Thoughts? Suggestions on what factions we might see?

i intend to collect all figures that come out of this line . i realize that i will be spending thousands of dollars for the next several years. this line may end until 2016+!that along time from now & be very costly. I would like for this line to make figures that never got made first! like filmation, myp, she-ra, power of grayskull & figures that were to be made. i would like some brand new figures to be made. like some of the fan fiction creations. like Gbagok & Iceman's works. look up their stories Return to Anwat-Gar, Slave City & The Book of Evil. and other peoples fan fiction too.
Nah, I don't think there's a need for any more factions. We've got plenty of them already.

I wouldn't mind if they aligned some one-off characters into a new seperate faction.. Perhaps lead by Count Marzo during the Count Marzo uprisings. Since ToyGuru is asking about filmation characters.. it's possible, that they are looking into the rights.. and in my mind.. Plundor can only be controlled by Marzo...
If a new faction makes sense.....plus I'd like to see what they can do when they're not constrained by existing designs.
I don't feel any desire for a new faction, especially since we have so many and those can still be explored. Beyond that, though, the classics line is melding things together, so we are sorta getting a new faction in the Space Mutants.
Anyway, as it is, each faction that comes along has to be more dangerous or more powerful, and the Horde and Snakemen keep fighting over who is more dangerous than the original threat: Skeletor. If they add in a new faction, well, they have to make it important somehow, so that's yet another faction that is new and more powerful than anything else. Kinda gets boring after awhile (especially when I just wana see Skeletor kick some butt).

Yes, a new faction of flesh eating zombies. Thin out the weaker characters of MOTU (Twiggets, Trollans, Widgets, etc.). If not, then just incorporate new characters (non-zombies) into existing factions.

I'd like to see Prahvus get made and have some characters joining him in battle.
Maybe he could team up with some concept characters like the big brain creature, Horrorsaur, the witch, the big foot guy etc...

I love the idea of Pravhus leading a band or worriors, Also the cat worriors from the POP mini comic journey to Mizzar would also be quite cool! Evil thundercat types would rock!

I'm all for new factions and characters once we get everyone who was released (both in toy and media forms) before taken care of. If they acquire Filmation rights, it's going to happen. Without Filmation, I'd like to suggest something that's still keeping with the whole "classic" train of thought: call the new faction Fighting Foe Men.
YEAH! I like Skeletor as being the baddest bad guy around.
If Matty completely runs out of characters, I suppose bringing in some new, old prototype characters like Gy-Gor would be okay. I just wanna get everybody we all know & love 1st.

Let's worry about brand new factions only after we have produced all those glorious FILMation characters we want (Shadow Weaver, Scorpia, Fang Man, Kothos, Enchantress, Trollans, Robot Knights, etc) and the vintage toy figures and other characters central to the existing mythos.
I'd like to see Draego-Man ditch Skeletor and recruit some villains of his own to conquer Eternia!
Or maybe to give it a more interesting new angle, have him not care about Eternia or Grayskull, have him want to conquer Snake Mountain for some reason and have He-Man and company get caught up in his crazy attacks...

It'd be an interesting concept but i'd have to say no - for now. I'd like to see others such as the Snake Men get their numbers up for example.

I'm fine with it. I'd like to see them continually update the property with new characters and if they go in a faction, that's cool with me. I do think we will see a 'fighting foe-men' faction at some point as referenced in Vikor's bio. I think mattel will use that faction to bring in new prototype or concept art based figures into MOTUC.
But we already got a new faction being introduced (sort of) in MOTUC!

No way! We have enough groups as is. If anything, I would prefer characters with no allegiance but to themselves, like Marzo and Huntara.

I voted yes but only because though the Fighting Foe Men were refrenced, I want them to be an official faction with figures and their own logo.
That is it. I dont want an entirely new faction with no precedent, made out of nowhere.
So go Fighting Foe Men, and then give us a sticker for Demo Man's package.
