I think they can do him. They gave Evil-Lyn her FILMATION "real" name. It was only in the series bible and later used in another book or a comic strip.

I'm actually preferring the Gorpo mock-up to the original Orko now. What have we done!?

Wow nice work Faker II! I love Grayskulls "G" on Gorpo! It's like he was with Grayskull's army just as Tytus was! I'm sold!

Y'know, when I saw this thread I wasn't too interested and passed it over at first but became converted upon seeing the Gorpo drawing (which I had never seen) and the mockup. They're awesome! I don't know how possible Gorpo is, but I totally want him now.

I had no interest in Montork (or any other Trollan, really, other than the Oracle), but wow, Faker II is doing a heck of a job on those mock-ups. I'm really digging both Montork and Gorpo (love that he's unofficially Preternian now). What else can we get out of this buck???

OMG I almost forgot about Gorpo and I used to play with the Ask Gorpo feature on the site all the time. I would love one in fact I may get a second Orko just for that purpose!!

Before we get too excited, I'd like to ask 2 simple questions :

1) Who created Gorpo ?

2) Who has the rights to this character ?

If Mattel can make him, I think Gorpo might be a great idea for an exclusive, or even for the 2011 sub exclusive.

I agree : the mockup of Gorpo looks as good, if not better, than Orko !

And the good news is that if Mattel doesn't release him, our custom artists will certainly be able to paint an Orko and to turn him into Gorpo ! :csrwink!

Well I don't think he would/should take the slot of anyone else, still, he
would make a nice exclusive somewhere down the line. I'm sure that if
Mattel were to obtain Filmation rights, they can certainly release the
Trollans as exclusives.

I would love for Gorpo to be a sub exclusive so then I wouldn't be all butt-hurt over not getting him nor would I pay an ebay reseller $100+ for him.

He looks like a blue Orko, and the front of his Tunic is blank (no letter at all). He also has flesh coloured hands!

If they're adding nonsense like "Demo-man" into the franchise then there's no reason for them not to consider an easy "Gorpo" repaint. I wouldn't be interested in it but it seems like a no-brainer.

I'm definitely interested in an Oracle figure though. I would love to have him in a display with King Grayskull. "The Power of Grayskull" is one of my favourite episodes from the show. Oracle is bigger than Orko though so if they ever made that character I'd hope he was more MYP looking (ie: not an orko repaint).

Sorry, I would not be interested in a Gorpo figure but I wouldn't have any objections to him being made (if he were possible). I must commend FAKER Jr. on his photoshop mock-ups (they're awesome, F-Deuce!) but they don't convince me to want to purchase a Gorpo figure. However, I do like the fictitious Preternian history for him, though. He could have fallen in battle with his comrades (King Greyskull and Tytus) at the Ultimate Battleground protecting Castle Grayskull from The Horde. This would add some gravity to an otherwise goofy creation (comic relief).

I would be more apt to want an Uncle Montork figure if they make him. He's more credible and competent than Orko ever was, even when Orko was on Trolla. Uncle Montork had the air of authority about him that was absent from Orko.

And F-Deuce, I would give Uncle Montork a crystal/diamond staff to further differentiate him from Orko and Gorpo. Plus it would give them some sort of hierarchy (Gorpo-silver, Orko-gold, Montork-diamond). Just a thought.
