Army Building Shadow Beasts

Since the Gygor mold will inevitably used to make Shadow Beasts, who's planning on army building these at $30 a pop? How many are you buying at this price?

I think I'll only get one. I'd rather get multiple humanoids like Snake Men, Horde Troopers or Royal Guards. Chances are I'd get 2-3 of those 2 packs.

Given the price point, i will also only be getting one. Like you, i will also be getting multiple snake men and horde troopers. However, with royal guards, i'll probably skip due to the fact that i think we'll have a bunch of masters already and therefore make the royal guards unecessary. Either way,since there arent very many primary snakemen, i think generic snakemen are an absolute must.

I'm on the fence with Gygor... A Shadowbeast might interest me more but just THE one... $30 a pop + S&H no army building with these guys for me. Horde Troopers, Royal Guards, Snakemen, Skeletor's Bone Soldiers on the other hand...

It would be cool to see some Shadow Beasts but with the price and space they would take I will probably not get any at all.

Only 2 for me. That's my limit for armybuilding oversized toys. I've been happy with my 2 ML Sentinels.

I think the biggest issue is size and shelf-space, really.

Two would be cool, but I think I'll only be getting one. Not positive on that. I might change my mind when they're shown...

I think it would be kind of nice to at least have 2 figures of every "army" kind of character (Horde Trooper, Palace Guard, Shadow Beast, Generic Snakeman, etc).

So, I probably will change my mind.

I have a subscription, then buy an extra of all Skeletor's guys (and gals!) to open and play with. I'll probably do the same with the shadowbeasts, so it's two. Maybe 3 if they're really cool, two to open ond one to keep carded/boxed.

I am going to buy Gygor, but I don't plan on getting any Shadow Beasts and it is difficult to imagine any repaint/retool of Gygor that would tempt me.

Regarding Horde Troopers, I must try to get 6.
I am a sucker for army builder figures
All my cobra & joe army builders must have a minimum of 6,
and are upped by 6 at a time (6, 12, 18, 24, etc.)

Eternian royal guards are ok at 2 i guess.
Snakemen, I have to wait and see.
Horde Troopers is what I'm looking forward to the most.

I agree on that first bit; if he's a $20 beast, I'd get two, but if he was more, we'd have to see how money looks that month...

I'm only in for one of any army builder. Not interested in an actual army, I'd rather buy a bunch of named characters.

How different are shadow beasts between Filmation and the MYP ones they'll actually be able to do? I'm only 5 episodes into MYP so I haven't seen them yet.

I would need to see the sculpt to see if it inspires me to buy more than one. I would get at least one...probably no more than two.

$30 for an army builder is just too rich for my blood .

This is where I'm at as well. I think 2 flanking Beastman would look awesome, but yeah, $30/ea is a bit much, considering that in the same month you're also looking at, at the very least, a $20 figure as well. That could be just me, though...

The Horde Troopers, and then Snake men are the only ones I will buy multiples of. The larger beast will cost too much, as well take up too much space.

Other than main characters like Panthor and Granamyr, Shadow Beasts are the creatures I'm looking forward to the most.

Just wishful thinking, but if/when we get Shadow Beasts in MOTUC, I think it'd be pretty cool if they included a couple wolf-bats as accessories. I know they're from Filmation, but they were also in the MVC comics. I can't recall if they had an appearance in MYP.
