Who's Getting Tytus?

The reviews are in. Tytus looks good, but he's a $40 brick!!!

Kidding aside, the size, lack of articulation in the head, biceps, abs and especially the hard loincloth limiting those legs are causing some fans to pass on this large scale character.

Will Tytus be easier to get on May 15th than we thought? Or is this the usual controversy EVERY figure has before they go on sale?

I hope not many people want him just so its easirfo me to get lol. I think he looks great. The articulation does not really bother me to much I find tghe amount he has reasonable enough for a one off giant figure. Just wish he were as big as the 80s version.

I'm not buying him because I'm not interested, but I don't think Mattel "dropped the ball" either. The figure looks great!

Pass for me. Even if he was fully articulated, I just don't have much interest in Tytus.

No interest in Tytus. Im only buying the "core" characters. Ill be able to save money this month because Im not interested in Tytus or Optik. And I already have a Mer-Man.

So he's got limited articulation. People pay more for straight up statues.

I hope I am. I'm just shooting for one on the 17th, but I'll wait for a re-release to get a second one to open up. Hopefully a re-release will fix the hard plastic Pixel Dan talked about on the loincloth and the hair. Regardless, I can only afford one right now if I'm lucky.

I will buy him, but not until he's reissued. They need to fix that hard plastic loincloth.

What I really want is a properly scaled Classics Tytus, as shown on his boxart. Maybe when the movie is made they can redo him.

If Mattel makes enough figures and Mattycollector -site lets me buy him, yes, then I will get Tytus. This is THE FIGURE of the year for me.

I like the design of the figure, if he was the same size as the other MOTUC figures, I'd get him, but I'm not interested in a giant figure, so I'm passing on him.

I was really thinking about getting him until I saw Pixel Dan's review. The lack of articulation and the fact that he only comes with that rediculous people grabber and not a sword or an axe is why I will pass on him.

I think he should have come with a Conan style sword in the event that we don't want to display him with the people grabber.

Not enough weapons and lack of articulation is a bad thing espesially for $40

I plan on getting him. His shipping price will be the determining factor though, if it's over $10.00 then I'll pass.

I'm still flipping back and forth. On one hand, he's new and I want 'em. I think I could work with the articulation and get him to do something cool. On the other hand, I don't want the fact that he's new to cloud my judgement and end up getting a figure that's just no fun. I understand he looks awesome, but I'm not a fan of the figures that I can't put in my own poses 'n such and....well, standing there is way boring! On top of all that, he's a good chunk of money for something I'm not sure about. Granted, I make sure to set aside the cash, so it's not a terrible problem, but that cash could still be going else where.

On the other other hand...I think Megator will be much more interesting, even if he'll have the same limited articulation. His cool monster deal will make up for that, while Tytus has a hard time holding up his end with a dumb weapon and plain "Hey I'm a Big Dude" looks. I'll probably end up flipping back and forth until the sale.

tytus is a mythic figure, i will buy it, but he has admittedly let downs, like lack of articulation, oversized weapon and rigid loin cloth

I just received Tytus today (asian seller) and I truly recommend him, he is a stunning figure!!!!

I will be buying (hopefully) 2 more on matty!
