Battle Lion Thread

I'd like to have battle-lion in motuc, I think it will be for 2012.
obviously FH will use the full mold of battle-cat, with a inspired mask 200x style .

I think the mask should have hair from behind, remember he is a lion.

the question is ... sculpted hair or real hair as a grizzlor?

There is no "fourth large-scale beast." That's the troop-builder release slot. Three large figures and a troop builder. So we already know all of the above save which troop builder it is this year.

I think it'd be cool if he had a helmet that resembled the Millennium BC helmet but "classics-ized".

And made to fit in with the existing classics BC saddle.

I don't think he needs to be bigger, I'm fine with them re-using BC's body. Just a new head and helmet is all I'm askin' for.

I absolutely agree. Battle Lion would be very cool, but he shouldn't be oversized, as King Grayskull isn't, too.

We are not guaranteed a troop bulder. It's actually been stated a few times that we could potentially see four beasts. It could also be a giant (Megator, Azdar, Beldar, Chazdar, Paul Bunyan...)-though I would love to see some Snakemen Warriors, Mer-Warriors, Horde Troopers, Avion Soldiers, or whathaveyou in 2011 just as much as any of the other options! I figured I'd toss that in though, before it doesn't happen and everyone calls foul on Mattel again.

In any event, I think we'll have a bit of a wait before we see Battle Lion. It's likely we'll get more beasts before another big cat such as he, a manticore, or even Clawdeen. I'm hoping we see Granymyr, Ice Hackers, and other good stuff too!

I think we will have it in 2012.
I would love to see king grayskull above his partner, it should look stunning.

to get an idea of the mask to battle-lion, we see the panthor's mask.
think about hair instead of horns

I would like to see a photoshop of this picture

Im pretty sure TG stated that Battle Lions mold would be that the same as Battle Cat and Panthor, i would prefer he too be bigger and a bit dearer but either way is fine.

They could only make the upper legs longer. That would already help together with the big head.

No thanks on a Battle Lion for me. That would be an easy pass for me. Battle Cat is just fine. It's bad enough they already based several characters off of so many pre-existing characters they really didn't have to do it for Battle Cat too. Or maybe I just hate the whole King Grayskull idea all together. I haven't decided yet.

As much as I'd like to have a battle lion... take a look at King Grayskull and then ask yourself how he could possibly fit into a saddle?!

Maybe he could STAND on the lion...

Well the same thing could be said about She-Ra and Swift wind. I'm sure the 4 Horsemen will find a way.

Probably, but not necessarily. All we know is that the fourth item will be $40. The giants fall under that price too.

With multiple He-Men wandering Eternia's history, shouldn't there also be multiple Battle-Cats?

I have been wondering, has the name "Battle-Lion" ever been mentioned by an official or did the fans gave him this name? And who is stronger? King Grayskull's Lion, or the magical powered loyal companion of He-Man?

i see where you are coming from. but i dont like KG. so i dont like the mythos of more cats.

I would me more open to more "companions" that help. I mean, it would be sweet to see a preternian he-man ride a green veloceraptor... but that could be too weird for some people as well.

I would like the He-Men to have companions/steeds like Battle Cat and Battalion if appropriate with their story. Maybe Vikor has a Battle Bear or he's a loner, Wun-dar... Oo-Larr... etc.

I don't want more cat companions. We've got enough of them already (Battle Cat, Panthor, Battle Lion, Clawdeen).

In my canon the cardback Zoar is a second companion alongside Battle Cat.

Some of the already existing MOTU creatures could work as He-steeds. The Battle Raptor or the Bionatops for example would be awesome. A bear, a rhino, a wolf - man there are so many options...

It's a fan name, although TG has latterly adopted it after talking about "Grayskull's Lion" at first.
