Battle Lion Thread

I was thinking of giving Vikor a Warg Beast from LOTR. I bought one specifically for the line, but it's been sitting around for months without a rider. It's the same scale as Battle Cat.

i have that horse. i wanted to put goddess on it, but when i put her on, it feels like i'll have to put extra pressure on her, but i don't want her to break so i gave up.

A prehistoric shortnose bear would be great too. They are built more athletic than current bears.

I am pretty sure that TG has confirmed that Battle Lion would have the same buck as Battle Cat & Panthor and it would not be larger.

He will come with a unique head and possibly a new tail but what other elements would be new or re-used?

Saddle:
I think he will come with a new saddle that is compatible with the longer loincloths (like King Grayskull) - It could have a bit more of a 200X feel.

Helmet:
New removable helmet that clips on like Panthors does.

BONUS Cape:
I really like Cayman Shen's idea of a bonus cape for King Grayskull that looks like it is blowing in the wind, that way King Grayskull can actually wear a cape when he rides Battle Lion.

BONUS Helmet:
It would be awesome if he came with an extra 200X styled helmet for Battle Cat. That way 200X fans can use Battle Lion's saddle combined with bonus helmut to create a 200X Battle Cat.

Is that too much new tooling? Could it happen?

For me Battle Lion is a must have, As many others have sad, I expect him to have a new head sculpt and 2002 style mask. I don't like the idea of him having a real fur mane as shedding and cleaning would be problems.

@Yogopop: I think it would be great if Battle Lion had an extra 2002 helmet for Battle Cat

I would love to see battle lion as well, but PLEASE.... let's not just CLONE battlecat. Please Mattel, make him different in some way... he's got to be his own cat. Let the creative juices flow....

He shall share the buck with Battle-Cat and Panthor. as long as his head is cool and new and he´s got the 200x armor, not the vintage one again.
While it would be awesome to have a bonus head mask for Battle-Cat, I don´t see that one happen. It´s a completely different character and as far as I can remember no figure came with accessories meant for a different character.

That's my opinion, too. Battle Lion should look different from Battle Cat, and a lion is not a tiger. Besides, Battle Lion's fur has no yellow stripes.

The stripes are only painted on, not sculpted in. A Panther is not a Tiger as well, and still Panthor and Battle-Cat share the same body.

Okay, But Panthor has another head (new form). Concerning the body, Battle Lion is much larger and beefier than Battle Cat. So, to make a difference, Mattel, respectively the Four Horsemen, would have to create a complete new body form for Battle Lion if he was planned to be released someday. And, of course, an appropriate head with a mane.

I think Battle Lion won't have an extra helmet for 200X Battle Cat because there are no saber teeth on the existing Battle Cat. Battle Cat has the same helmet as Battle Lion, but the teeth are covered by the helmet.

Battle Lion will be the same buck as Battle Cat to keep costs down. The head and tail will probably be different though.

I hope so. Something different at least. I LOVE battle lion. I hope they give him some kind of huge mane, like a lion should have. Real material instead of shaped into the sculpt. Who am I kidding, probably won't happen. And I'd like to see him flocked too. Again, big wishes, big dreams I think...

Give battle lion larger upper legs so that helooks a bit bigger.
King Grayskull has larger boots for te same trick.

Battle Lion is a must have for me I love him!!! But he needs to be bigger and WE NEED to use real fur on his mane. Use green Grizzlor fur!!! (SideNote: If they can do an entire figure in fur, I'm sure we can have a real fur lion man)

No matter if they give Battle Lion the same body as Battle Cat, that makes a tiger not a lion. Lions and tigers have different proportions, and a tiger's body will never be the same as a lion's one, because a lion's one is much beefier.

I'd like to see Illumina's albino cat, Catra's panther form and Clawdeen in MotUC, so let's wait and see what more is to come!

Man-At-Arms came with The 2002 Power Sword. That was intended for He-Man wasn't it?
