Hey Busta toons, Why does Stratos have the Sword of Power in that story? That sound like a story I should be reading. Plus could we get more details on the Iron Master?

As for Teela, love that the UK gave power to Teela's staff, I myself say that her Staff of Ka(as it is called now) shots lasers from its eyes because M@A installed a laser module in the head of the Staff as well as it has it's magic tracking powers.

The Iron Master is a creation of Skeletor's, created to seize the Sword of Power. He-Man gives the sword to Stratos so Stratos can tantalize the creature by spinning the sword randomly through the air whilst leading it away from Grayskull so it cannot harm the castle. The Iron Master is by far the best of the Ladybird books, it is a dark and atmospheric story.

Busta, interesting info on Teela's staff. She-Ra's leaping must have become stock animation because I remember seeing it in several episodes that I enjoyed. It's a great piece of animation.

Do you happen to have any information on why The Sorceress runs in "The Taking of Grayskull?"

There's a pause between seeing the other characters run followed by the Sorceress. I thought for sure the animators would cut away and have the Sorceress simply be outside, but instead we're treated to seeing her dash outside of Grayskull after Skeletor. I always wondered about what lead to that decision since it seems like a rather unnecessary bit of animation.
    RIP Andy Conrad.

Maybe to show that she's not just sitting around?

Hey Busta, I'm fairly certain that is Night Stalker. If you look on the inside back cover page of that very same issue, you'll see the "Brains, not Brawn" puzzle. The very same organic comic book horse Tri-Klops rides in issue is part of the puzzle and is labeled as "Night Stalker."

    Sy-Klone addresses the comic audience.
More commonly known as "breaking the 4th wall" even in the theater (trust me I'm an actor) The term comes from when you look at a set on stage there are 3 walls visible the back and the two sides. In the actual story there would of course be another wall -between the actors and the audience. The characters behave as though that wall is there usually but if they break this rule to address the audience they have thus broken through the 4th wall.

Yep, that's a fact that is often overlooked, that both Stridor and Night Stalker were intended by Mattel as organic horses in armor. The toys ended up resembling robots because they were so heavily armored, but it was only when Filmation made Stridor a robot in "Origin Of The Sorceress" that the idea of them being robots became the norm. The UK comics generally depicted them as robots too, but it seems their early artists stuck to the original idea behind Night Stalker at least, by drawing him quite explicitly as an organic horse.

    Enjoy!
With Beastman and Stinkor in such a confined space it must have stunk really bad in there, especially considering they were seal behind that force field. Lucky for Skeletor he has no nose, not so lucky for Whiplash and Spikor though. I hope it wasn't chili night inside the Snake Mountain cafeteria that day!!!

Great, More Characters I need figures of!!! Those Snake Men look cool and Mattel could probably give them new names and powers. We need more Trollan figures, good or evil. That Broom would make great Sub exclusive figure packin one we get the Filmation rights.

I remember when it was published seeing an advert for that UK Special issue in the regular fortnightly magazine and wanted it so bad. Something about the cover really captured my imagination, but I never got it for what ever reason. It has always eluded my on eBay as well and I only recently got to read it when I noticed it had been put up on the org publishing section. I wish the UK magazine section on the org was complete so I could read the few issues I'm missing.

Fictional characters are just that. Fictional. They have no personality or free will of their own.
Writers and editors mold them to their own wants and needs.
All we as the audience and fans can do is pick and choose our favorite interpretation and ignore the rest.

I'd like to see and know more about the evil Trollans. You mentioned the book has a few, can we see the others please? Is there some significance to the X logos on their robes?
