Thanks for sharing these little treasures, Busta. I've always loved that Clawful and Evil-Lyn moment. The animation is superb.

The arm wrestling match is pretty funny too.

We need this Teela sooner rather than later. Love the "art" style they use for her here.

filmation knew how to paint backgrounds featuring great depth!

    #0075 - evil oops!
evil-lyn and clawful get up close and personal.
More proof Mattel needs the filmation rights. A Twigget Five pack with this guy and the other 4 we are used to seeing would be great.

Also Man-at-Arms lab would make a great playset.

And that "reptile" head for Clawful would make a great pack-in down the line for MOTUC.

    Great love for Scorpia James!

Didn't know about Darkspy- interesting- and I always thought Man-At-Arms came across a bit fascist-dictator commanding the little green men... Or maybe he's out-sourcing to save a few pennies!! :

As much as I usually only think of characters when it comes to my wishing for Filmation inspired toys, I'd love to get The Collector, Skeletor's ship...

I was always expecting them to come out with a Collector vehicle back in the 80's, but alas it was not meant to be. If those pesky Filmation rights issues are ever cleared up though...

When I was a kid I figured that there was a toy out there for the Collector and I had just never seen it.

I wonder if a toy of the Basher would've made sense?

It would've had a cool feature; a pop-out battering ram at the front of the ship; and my guess is that it could've housed at least two figures in the cockpit...

    We'll never know...

I wish the new MOTUC Catra would come with a whip like in that book, I just think its a weapon that suites her.
I've always preferred the UK comic version of the NA intro story over the cartoon. I missed #18 back in the day (still one of the issues I'm missing it now) so never saw the preview, I just picked up #19 the next month. I can't really remember what I though but I remember I was disappointed some of the heroic and evil warriors didn't go with HM and Skeletor.

It definitely suits her, I'd happily let her use it on me.

Yeah, it was sad that none of the other warriors journeyed with them - I remember reading the letters page in one of the issues that followed stating that Man-At-Arms and Hordak were now the leaders of good and evil on Eternia...

Filmation should've totally given Catra a whip in the cartoon!

That's interesting about Evil Lys hair colour, anybody fancy photoshoppin that picture to black hair just so we can see what it would look like?

I like that Bat Snakes design.

Always loved the Skelcon's, I wish they had been in more media. I would love a Skelcon MOTU figure!

I don't know if "what's in the box" was an intentional reference to Se7en but I laughed at it.

While I may not like the style she wore her hair in(one of the few times where I prefer MYP's version over Filmation), I'm happy they went with white hair over black. It may be seen as a sign of old age in the real world, but I've always found white hair striking on a woman in fiction. It reminds me of Swamp Thing's girlfriend Abby Arcane...

It was totally a reference - One of my favorite movie scenes of all time!

Much prefer the white hair, and it looked really sweet in the MYP toon. Was the white hair something you included in the encyclopaedia you did for MYP or is that something they picked up on themselves? In fact do you know why MYP choose the filmation colours over the toy colours? I suspect it was because the 4HM used those colours in her redesign.

Yep, I'd buy MOTUC figures of them all.

I featured that as well: Evil-Lyn's hair homage.

As far as I know they took it from the Filmation encyclopedia I co-wrote with Zadoc - I mentioned that she had short white hair...

Evil-Lyn in the MYP cartoon sported the toy colors, not the Filmation colors...unless my eyes are playing tricks on me!

Sweet! I'd love to see that encyclopedia one day but if they wont allow the MVC bible I don't think Mattel would ever allow that lol.

No I meant the original toy colours with yellow skin

I love the lion head on the Scorpio design, it reminds me of a Manticore and Manticore's always remind me of the mini comic that featured one.

I never had the Jet Sled as a kid but I always wanted it and I think this may have something to do with how heavily it was featured in the UK comic. I would love to get a MOTUC Jet Sled.

I really like how much that Bow looks like the MOTUC figure of him.

There's a whole website that shows us how much of a "jerk" Superman has been down through the years. I think they need one for He-Man...

...Ya big jerk! You trash Rammy's intelligence behind his back the second he leaves just so you & Teela can have some alone time together.

I think there's enough material that we could paint He-Man in quite a bad light...
