Agreed, it is a great image and I just love the guards using Stridors. Who's going to buy multiple Stridors for their Palace Guards now?

I cant' remember the story as its been so many years since I read that book but if that's the Duncan MAA then the chap with the crown must be a young Randor?

I believe that the guy with the crown is actually King Randor in his armor!

after seeing this picture, I want the stridors in motuc, I want them for my guards, luckily I have only two.

the pic has very interesting things, the stridors, the flag of Grayskull, a crown on a helmet (???) of randor? and the soldiers in gray (they remind me Flogg)

I had to chuckle a bit at the post about the Sorceress' hourglass figure. On top of not leaving Grayskull much for some exercise, she also had a baby once upon a time. Must be nice to get your figure back so splendidly after pregnancy. Maybe she has a gym in the castle somewhere.

These characters were awesome - They (or at least one of them) appeared in the early Masters of the Universe books from Ladybird - I believe they were supposed to be the palace guards - However, when Ladybird began referencing the cartoon more, the artist began illustrating the Filmation palace guards - But for this illustration he kindly gave us both designs!

I won't spoil it because it is a VERY cool story - Suffice to say it features no He-Man, and focuses solely on the villains, specifically Beast Man...

LOL - I love the idea of a gym in Castle Grayskull - Also, don't forget, that some eighteen years had passed between the Sorceress giving birth and this particular scene...plenty of time to get back in shape!

I've always preferred the green mini-comic Granamyr, and in all likely hood it's because I probably read that mini comic before I saw the Filmation episodes with him in. I hope we get Granamyr in his mini-comic green in MOTUC.

I saw Granamyr in Filmation first but I think I prefer the mini-comic green better as well. To be honest, I'd be happy with either of those colors as long as we got a Granamyr toy.

That skull throne is pretty sweet!.
I love that mermaid image but I don't remember it or its story, I'll have to dig out my 86 annual now.
If that if Granita I much prefer that version then the Filmation version.

The Madame Razz thing confused me until I saw that I have two files...

James, quick question. You archives used to be able to pick up a whole months of blogs like your front page, but now you have to go to each one individually. Why is that?

Sadly I discovered that Blogger has a "glitch" whereby it can only display a limited amount of Blog posts on one page due to "memory limitations"...

As a result you would look at a month's worth of posts and for each month there would be numerous posts missing!
