loved to see them scanned and translated somehow !![]()
Hi! I took pictures of one of my 1987 Brazilian He-Man comic books.
This is one of my favorites as a kid because it shows some new hot chicks from Eternia. Since it was never published outside Brazil I'm sharing these images with you!
Art credits goes to excellent (and underrated) Watson Portela:

Is this where we got that ultra-rare Brazil only He-Man variant, Samba He-Man: Heroic Master of the Gyrating Pelvis?
"Wheresoever on earth he dwells, man is prey to two weaknesses: the need to pray and the need to love."-Marquis de Sade
"It is not by reasoning or by our understanding that we have received our religion; it is by external authority and command."-Michel De Montaigne

Interesting! I wish I could read it.
RIP Andy Conrad.
aside from more babes, the artwork is great too!![]()
One panel looks like Fang Man in the background too!
RIP Andy Conrad.
Your joke made me realise a sad thing: There are no He-Man / She-Ra exclusives in Brazil.
Brazilian MOTU was produced by Estrela - and this company LOVED to be creative:
They changed a lot of Gi Joes...
turned Super Powers' "Adam Westish" Batman into a "Michael Keatonish" one...
but never released a Samba He-Man - the swingest man in universe![]()
I'm always interested in foreign comics, especially those that were never published here. This looks really cool, I have to learn more about it. Who published it?
Wanted: Episode 40 Comic.
NOICE! Man, there is A LOT of skin and A LOOOOOOOOT of booty! Good times!

"Editora Abril" published He-Man from 1986 to 1988 - in three distinctive stages:
1) 1986: Crappy adaptations of TV episodes with equally crappy artwork (traced from cartoons):
2) 1987: New, foreign stories (mostly from STAR):
3) 1988: Stories produced in Brazil:

In 1988 Abril also published 12 She-Ra comics. I guess some stories are foreign:
-- but the majority of the adventures are Brazilian:

After Abril, Panini also published a few 200X comics in Brazil:

Sorry, the swinging-est man in the universe belongs to Skeletor and to Skeletor alone. But it makes me wonder what the action feature would have been like for Samba He-Man? I guess he'd have a wind-up mechanism on his back and he would have vibrating action in his furry shorts.
And then the counterpart to him would be Lambada Skeletor: Evil Lord of The Forbidden Dance!

Wow, Brazillian artists really know how to draw women very curvy! Guess they realized the cartoons were too much of a sausage feast and needed more hot ladies
! Y'know , I actually waisted mony on ebay getting some of those south american mags that are really just Filmation episodes poorly drawn. Never seen any of the Estrella editions available on ebay, at least on the American site
.
Visit my art page at: http://theblock.deviantart.com/ , if you like my work and have an account there to, feel free to fave or watch me, I could use the street cred!
Yep! Portela's art is simple but elegant. Even with the hot ladies it's very faithful to Filmation's cartoon.
About your othe comment I recently put one of my Estrela's (apparently exclusive) books on Ebay. It will be there for a few more days:
