Unique MVC MOTU Characters in MOTUC - NEWS!

So, the previous news about unique MVC MOTU characters was pretty grim, but I asked Toyguru about them and he answered! Thanks for answering Toyguru! I'm SO happy he answered:

Hi TG.

In February, we were told Mattel would be steering clear of MVC characters because the books have been out of print for a few years and are too hard for new fans to locate, but the mini-comics have been out of print for over 25 years and we're getting original characters from them. Specifically, the first mini-comic and the nearly impossible to find, final mini-comic (Preternia He-Man).

My question is two-fold:

1) Will we eventually get to see unique characters from MVC in MOTUC, like the mini-comic characters in MOTUC? Examples of some fan favourites: Human Faceless One, the 7 other members of the Coucil of Wisdom (we have He-Ra and know Eldor is possible), Aquarus (King of his race, Mer-man's arch-enemy), Stratos and Delora's parents, Illumina and her cat and the Demon inside the Shard of Darkness (basically He-Man as a winged demon on fire).

2) Are variations of mainstream characters seen in MVC comics possibilities? Examples: Little girl Teela, young Stratos and Delora (who could share MYP style Teela and Adam bucks, if they're made), young King Hiss head, baby Evil-Lyn (could use the same sculpt is a baby Adam and Adora are made), etc

Also...that means they can make Illumina and her cat! She was one of the examples I gave. Come on 2014!

Nothing really new. Toyguru already said that there is no plan to do that characters in MOTUC and they have all the rigths to do them...

That's good news! I don't think we'll have to worry about running out of characters anytime soon, I really hope they start including more from NA and PoP as well. They should have plenty to choose from and hopefully we get to see some MVC characters/variations show up sooner rather than later!

I agree with Snake Hunter. In my opinion, the only way these characters will be made is if in 2016 the line is still so popular Mattel has to continue making figures that are obscure and unknown just to fulfill popular demand and I just don't see that happening.

Well, before I believe we were told they "wouldn't be in the line." Now, it's "nothing in the immediate future." We've heard the second line for figures like Ram-Man. So, I do feel like this is fantastic news! We COULD see someone like Illumina in 2014.

I am curious about something though. I noticed in Darkspectors album that the Ancients are listed, I've always wanted the ancients but have been more familiar with the three that appeared in the mini comic The Ultimate Battleground, I'm assuming these ancients are different since there are more than three like in the mini.

Wow Emiliano thanks for sharing those with us. I really love the Extendar, in fact thats now my official 200x Extendar! I don't suppose you want to give any details on how he was going to be introduced?
The Flip Shot is also very cool! I'm not sure about the Slush Head though, a little Mars Attacks like Darkspecter said. Think the Alien council member would look better in red then green, like Zodak.
Also with Thunder Punch He-Man you managed to make what I always thought was lame armour look very cool!
How sweet would it be if they used your young Hordak for a Hec-Tor Kur figure!

This is a very big change from the "no, we won't make them, you know why, now write 'I will not ask for mvc characters again and I am very sorry sir and I deserve a stoning' on the blackboard 100 times!" vibe we were hearing before (okay, maybe I exaggerate a tad). Illumina can be made, and there was no hint of 'won't be made' this time. Good! We love you, Toyguru, we'll put your kids through college if you let us!

It depends on what canon you follow. In the minicomics, Delora was Stratos' (human) wife. In Filmation, Delora was an avionian and Stratos' sister and Hawk/Hawke was an unrelated avionian from another episode.

In MYP Hawk/Hawke was Stratos' sister (never spoken of on-screen but I think it was confirmed somewhere) and Delora didn't exist.

I messed up in my question. She is Hawk in that book and the MYP series. In the 80's his wife AND sister were named Delora, but we never saw them together.

That's pretty much what I thought-I knew Hawk was his sister in MVC/MYP, but Darkspecter made me doubt myself...
