It's the cape, I made it darker because it was in shadow, but I agree with Tally that it looks weird without seeing more of it.

I never got a chance to pick up the original BCI DVDs but have been looking to get them on the secondary market. But I also see you guys talking about the new sets as being bare bones and not as good as the BCI releases. What are the expected differences between the new and old? Still trying to decide which to get. I saw unopened sets of season 1 part 1 and 2 at half price books a few months ago for a great price and wish I would have picked it up.

She-Ra Season 1 Part 1 and Season 1 Part 2 are fairly reasonable to find either new or in good condition - art cards and all. The financially more-difficult part is paying the $40.00 to $60.00 to pick up the Season 2 set. It was very hard to believe that that set had gone up so much since release, but that seems to be the going rate everywhere.

Right now there's one for sale on the She-Ra marketplace for a price in that same range. So you can get all the episodes in the new set for one set price or for a very similar price acquire the 3 BCI sets which have all the extras + art cards.

I already have the best of/She-ra/He-man movie that I bought at Comic Con when it came out.

And I also own Season 1 Volume 1 and Season 2.

I think I'll just stick with hunting down Volume 2 then buying the entire things again.

But I heard you get a mini comic and a shirt when you buy it.

Wowsers, already? There's still a little over 6 weeks until this is supposed to be released...unless Amazon is going with the earlier announced September 7th date.

Well they are doing something because they dropped the preorder date and now say estimated time of arrive 13-14 days

I ordered once and they enrolled me in this shifty club/membership without my authorization. I had to have them cancel it, remove the charge from my card...it was kinda a hassle. I wouldn't order from them again.

Oh, and I went on looking for cheap BCI Season 2, and it was on backorder I'm told after I think I've gotten a steal. So, they lured me in with good prices, charged me some bogus fee, and I never got the DVD. I'll stick with Amazon...

Looking at the pictures there, I have a question. While we have pics of the box art, is it known exactly how the complete series will be packaged?

I mean, will it be a big set box that will include the individual volumes (in their same packaging) that you can buy individually, or will the packaging be completely different?

The reason that I ask is this. Since the Complete Series has been delayed, I am somewhat tempted to pick up the Season 1 Volume 1 set. But I definately want the complete series when it comes out. Now, I realize that the disc content will be the same, but if I'm not even getting anything different packaging wise with the individual S1V1 release, then I may hold off.

Is anything known about this?

A MOTU logo was added to She-Ra's PR page.

Looks like they removed the "25th Anniversary Edition" from the Season 1 Volume 1 Set.

Oh no, why the crappy vector MOTU logo again?!
Sigh, after all the love I poured into repainting those and make them look excatly like the originals, Classic Media is scrapping them in favor of these vector ones, that look no way as good as the orginials. I'm very sad.

They are COMPLETELY different.
I think I can recognize them since it was me redoing them

Of course, the She-Ra one was designed for the DVD, while the MOTU one was identical to the original logo from the vintage packaging:
