I think part of it is the articulation is different on him than it is liono. Liono has the mid torso articulation, and on tigra his chest is all one piece. And the way they articulated his waist over accentuates his crotch piece making it look like a diaper.

I went to Toys R Us and Target today hoping I'd find the figures today... Maybe SDCC just has me jumping the gun early cuz I'm tired of waiting lol
I'm expecting the figures to hit my area anytime never! Seriously, my stores SUCK when it comes to any action figure line I want to collect. DCU figures especially, since the ones I always want are NEVER even ordered and put on the retail shelves since the figures from three waves ago are still sitting on the pegs. The most recent my area stores got for DCU are the Green Lantern waves and they honestly aren't selling to well. I actually consider myself pretty lucky for finding Power Girl and Green Lantern Alan Scott figures at all.
So, I'll try to be optimistic by looking for Thundercats figures next week at Wal-Mart, but I'm not going to freaking get my hopes up too much. Just my luck they will show up, but much later and skip over the wave that has Lion-O and Cheetara in it, the two figures I really would like right now.

Captain America is the last big movie that needs retail attention and it premieres this week. After that the stores will need something to display for impulse buys during back to school.
Hopefully a flyer for Target or Walmart will leak a week early and we can see because given how much WB is pushing the new show you would think they paid for some ad space like Transformers and Disney do.

Well to be honest, id say they will be shipping next week, but for everyone to find them id say a honest mid Aug. Especially east coast, the show will be canceled before our local Toys R Us even has shelf space for them lol.
I asked my local Targets (2 of em) and Walmart (granted the people at my walmart would just assume I ment kitty litter instead of Thundercats) but neither knew any shelf layouts or had any incoming sku's despite the fact i had the barcodes. "Nothing in the computer" wich may or maynot have ment "I gotta go call baby's daddy, I dont care bout' yo' toys."
And to ask the good folk at the local tru, id have better luck winning the power ball. Theres only one girl there that gives clear answers and shes never there.
Plus the lack of TRU not having even a section yet has me worried. It should just read "Out of stock" wich is what bandai normally confirms with, with power rangers or a new ben10 product on the site.

Honestly, I don't expect Target to even carry them until November.
As for TRU, they will probably start to carry them at the end of Aug, sell out of the first batch, and then not get any more for 3 months.
I got impatient just now and ordered the sword from Amazon. Im never finding these things in store, so screw it.
I feel kinda guilty because I waited 20+ years to buy the sword in a toy store again, but ya know......... sometimes ya just cave.

Lol, I'm following suit and doing the same thing. At least Amazon lists a date down for its release, so it gives me an idea of when I should scour the toy aisles
I just got my shipping confirmation from Toys R Us for the SDCC exclusive Lion-O figure. It shipped out of Ohio and is scheduled to get to me on Saturday =/

I hit a fee diff tru today and even though the figured are on the website, they are not in any planograms still or have any confirmed date!! The one manager said it could be 2 to 3 weeks. I'll stick with amazon.

Many Wal-marts are working mod set to mod set now for stock like this. Fall mod set for toys should be within the next week or two. The toy department at my store as been operating like this for about two years now (maybe more). They will even leave open space up for stuff they aren't supposed to put out just yet for almost a month.

I just got my sword today as well!! The paint is kinda crappy, but who cares, this thing is FUN!!!! Scared the hell outta me when I held the hilt too long and it yelled SIGHT BEYOND SIGHT!
