I really like the last ep. It was a nice bookend. I enjoy the changes to the characters and new takes on the designs and personalities.
WB Animation bill it as one season of 26 eps. Cartoon Network decided to split it up into 2 seasons of 13 eps.
I guess it's similiar to how the latter 65 eps of the original series was billed as Season 2 and released as such on DVD (however they were also classified as Season 2, 3 and 4 due to when they aired)
Top 10 Most Wanted:1/Madame Razz (with Broom), 2/Scorpia, 3/Glimmer 4/Filmation Hordak (with Imp), 5/Kowl, 6/Queen Angella, 7/Two-Bad 8/Modulok, 9/Dylamug and 10/Strong Arm.

Coming next season... the Six Million Dollar Panthro!
Hope to see Bengali & Pumyra turn up season two. They didn't get much in terms of character in the original series and I'd like to see them get a get a second chance to be more than they were in the original.
It's great being Lord of the Thundercats - especially hanging out with Cheetara - but the one draw back is that He-Man can still beat me up.

Thanks for posting the Snarf short. This showed up on my DVR the other night and my initial thought was that new episodes were airing. I didn't realize that it was a short cartoon.
I was sooo in love with this show in the beginning, but I'm not even sure if I want to continue when it comes back from hiatus. Besides the fact that we're 13 episodes in and I feel the "main" villains seem to be an afterthought(we've seen more of Mumm-Ra in flashbacks, S-s-s-lithe is barely elevated beyond the other lizards, and Jackalman & Monkian are no-shows so far), that last episode left a real sour taste in my mouth. Tygra goes all "Good Son" on young Lion-O but ends up with the girl(I really feel they should have waited before pairing characters off) and Panthro loses his arms only to be taunted by Snarf(I think that was supposed to be funny but it was extremely disturbing to me). It seems like the writers are suffering from what the writers of Lost did. The sad thing is it took several seasons before Lost seemed like it didn't have an ending in mind. I'll probably give it another shot since that worked out well for me with Young Justice, but this show is beginning to make MYP's MOTU look good to me(other than the animation & voice acting).
From the point of view of a fan of the comics the new TMNT show from 2003 was the show I'd been waiting for. It was a nice guilty pleasure on Saturday mornings on Fox and then He-Man came on Saturday night on Cartoon Network. Not a bad set of bookends. It was a shame when both shows were cancelled.
A journey that began long ago in a place neither near nor far
A story of heroes, passed down through the ages
Until now.
This is our story. These are our heroes
Boy do I miss Mumm-Ra's old voice...
Is anyone else finding WB Animation floundering as of late? Young Justice seems to have totally vanished. And now it seems toys to THundercats have not been selling at all based on reports, and the show is on 'haiatus'. I Wonder what the reaction to this show from Kids this time around, has been?
For me, the adult, it just hasn't been as fun. In the old show, within the first four episodes, we knew the status quo of the series.... and we where OK with that, because we had this wonderous third earth and the mythology of thundera to explore. With this new show, Mumm-Ra and Slythe have almost been after thoughts. Mumm-Ra has basically been turned into a stargate/dragonball Z character with lots of technology and energy blasts that do nothing (where is his magic?). A pointless love triangle has been introduced way before we've gotten used to the new personality traits of these characters. It's like the people running the show just don't know what made Thundercats click, and so they are trying to bring in elements from other series, or making it into a teen drama, or an anime with lots of transformations...and.. bleh, it's all over the place!
And this two month break isn't helping things either! anyone else feel the same way?

As of late, you mean about the past decade? They did the same with the 200x MOTU, the same with Justice League (Unlimited) and several other shows. Even at times they did it with Teen Titans.
One Gum Drop to rule them all, One Gum Drop to find them,
One Gum Drop to bring them all and in the sweetness bind them

Rob Liefeld isn't a comic artist, he's a women's clothing designer. Think about it
I'm not sure how Cartoon Network usually runs things since MOTU, Thundercats, & Young Justice are the only shows I've watched religiously. I don't remember the lag between episodes for MOTU, but I feel like the time in between the other 2 is beginning to remind me of HBO's Sopranos(hey, they both have the same parent company, so maybe WB likes long waits between seasons).
I do agree with you about the new show's villains & lack of fun. This show's opening 2 episodes were great. Unfortunately my love for it started to die with each new week. Now 13 episodes in & I find most of the characters unlikable and the main villain has mostly been reduced to only flashbacks. Outside of the voice acting & animation, I'm starting to think MYP's MOTU might be the better show(and I'm not a fan of that show). I'll give it another shot since I liked Young Justice a lot more after it came back from its recent hiatus(FYI, it starts up again along with Green Lantern the Saturday morning of March 3rd).
Any word on when new episodes are coming, or volume 2 of the DVD?
WANTED: Comic From SDCC Vykron!
Mini Comic want list:
Terror Claws Strike
Skeletor's Journey
And any and all PoP mini's.
Volume 2 of the DVD will be out by June I think they reported last week, the new episodes are already airing overseas so we should get them in March, looks like WB might be bringing back all their shows around the same time
But this should shock nobody, I mean there are even people in this thread who were concerned Young Justice was going to be cancelled because it was on a ridiculously long hiatus.

There was an episode where Mumm-Ra turned into an evil version of Lion-O, he had red clothes, where Lion-O has blue.
Yeah, it seems to be BAU for Cartoon Network. I remember when Avatar the Last Airbender would go on epic breaks. They didn't even show all the episodes before they were on DVD by the end. It's just unnerving though because lots of shows go away like this and never come back. The one with the evil portraits. That one left an impression on a several of us I think as I remember it too and there was something very eerily appealing about there being an evil Lion-O in red (Fakercats!)...until he talked with Mumm-Ra's voice and you knew it was just an illusion. Not that I don't still prefer that voice for Mumm-Ra!
