The Thundercats Crew Blog has been updated with answers to a few more questions. Here's what we have found out:

• The Thundertank attachment is being referred to as the "Sabertank".
• The Sabertank is now their roving base of operations.
• Wily Kit/Kat's mother and siblings are still alive.
• We haven't seen the last of Dobo.

Any word yet on if the writers are planning on bringing Cat's Lair into the series someday? Also, any word on if they also plan on bringing in any of the Thundercats' human allies from the classic series like Willa, Mandora and Hachiman? I'd like to see a 21st century interpretation of all of those characters.

I wonder if WilyKit/Kat's mother and siblings will be slaves in the next episode? That would be a shocker for them! Living in the moving tank makes sense, because they are always on the move. I just hope they EVENTUALLY get a fixed location. Good to hear Dobo will be back. He was interesting. Hopefully he doesn't turn into another Grune though. Poor Panthro needs at least ONE good friend that doesn't go crazy on him.

Also, I freaked out the other night. Lion-O's mother was voiced by Juliet Landau. For those of you who don't recognize the name, she played the vampire Drusilla on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel! I couldn't BELIEVE it was her! Craziness!

Not yet but you can ask them yourselves, they tend to answer a handful of questions a week. They answered my inquiries into Mon-Star and the Tigersharks and they revealed Pumyra was coming long before the show ever did

I love this show and hope that it last more then a season or two. I can't wait for the next episode, hopefully we will get to see Lynx-o or Bengali.

If Cartoon Network doesn't renew Thundercats it really wouldn't surprise me. It is a network of crap, save for SOME of Adult Swim.

It seems like the toys aren't selling that well and I've seen quite a few being clearanced....which isn't usually a good sign for a kids cartoon. No tie in merchandise...no additional revenue....no more show.

I would hate to see another series with so much potential meet the same fate as MYP. Cut down just when it was starting to get really good.

That is correct. If the show does gang busters, they will go ahead and produce Season 2. However if you really think about it, without any merch out there (everything is clearanced because people have it and there are no tie ins at all, clothing, cereal, trinkets for the kids) there is no way its going to be a easy fight.

WB owns CN and with it being a WB show, it wont go to another network. I could be just as optimistic as anyone as Thundercats is my #1 product of all time, but this doesnt fair well with the attitudes of the companys. It wasnt WB this time, they put a ton of money and effort into it. Hell.... before the last Harry Potter film we had a Thundercats trailer IN THE THEATER!!

Bandai dropped the ball... no commercials, bad ratio's, not shipping enough then over shipping. Collectors for some reason wanted something comparable to MOTUC in terms of paint and detail for the classics and 8-6 inch. They got unpainted peg's, and 2 figures per wave and constant size changes. I personally wasnt effected by this cause I buy everything, but for average collector this would push anyone anyway and I understand that. With toy sales dropping and a bizzare schedual on tv (no re-runs) CN will not pick up season 2 unless there is enough momentum to get the wheel moving again. Its gunna be rough, but cats have 9 lives. So far we're on 2.

CN and WB are basically going to have to decide if they want to fund a show with little or no toyline (unless Bandai gets back into the retail channel), they are already doing it with Young Justice (that toyline got canceled officially but the show is greenlit and is in talks for a 3rd season) so its not like this is a new concept.

I do not know what retail is saying but based solely on ratings for CN the show is doing really really really well

That's good to hear, hopefully ThunderCats can continue -- I think it's been a great show so far and with plenty of future story potential.

It'd be nice if CN gave ThunderCats even a fifth of the promotion that the network has been giving Level Up or the Lego Ninjago series -- you can't even watch Boomerang for 10 minutes without seeing a commericial for one or both shows.

This is good to know. I wish that the toys were doing better. I was really hoping for a vintage line with constant sizes (6" or 8" doesn't matter to me - just pick one) and more figures.

Yeah, I know it is a show made by WB and WB owns Cartoon Network but the show is animated by the same studio that makes Avatar The Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra. Since they now have Ninja Turtles could if be beyond the realm of possibility that Nick may pick up season 2 of Thundercats? They seem to know what they are doing.
