Berbils and Snowmeow changed the least..

Interesting to see the design of Hachiman. I always found his history screwed up the most. First he was an ancient earth warrior brought to the thundercats time... Later on, he suddenly lived on a magical red planet that had an earth like atmosphere...

This is going to be a good looking show. I am still disappointed my BBTS preorder was cancelled but I do hope it is because there will be a distributer here.

I would love for the same. I am hoping this series is super popular and other studios follow suit in their animation processes. I am not a fan of the current animation look of shows such as Voltron, Transformers Prime and, to a lesser extent, GI Joe Renegades.

I would personally prefer a new MOTU animation to follow the Filmation/Classics designs with MYP storytelling but I will take one with the epic feel that this new Thundercats seems to have.

    Thanks for posting. When I checked Thundercats.ws it was hosted on hulu which I can't view here. Another thing I couldn't view here was this;

    Epic

I will be interested to read the opinions on the first episode which is going to premiere at SDCC. Then it will offically be shown on July 29th. I don't know when it will be shown here but I have no doubt I would have seen it before it premieres here

    It looks awesome

    BUT

That snippet just felt like MOTU 200X "The Beginning" and "The Power of Grayskull" episodes blended together.

Even some of the backgrounds/sound effects and Lion-O's voice similar to Prince Adam's seem so alike

I keep forgetting that they've got Grune the Destroyer in there! I love that he's not a ghost anymore. Not sure how to feel about no space exodus from dying Thundera. My first impulse is not to like that, but it's cool to see so many Thundercats instead of just a tiny remnant. I really hope that Slythe uses his model sheet color scheme and not that ugly blue he has in the trailer (and I hope his voice sounds better).

Ron Stoppable and Leonardo the Turtle sound nothing alike to my ear. Friedle as Lion-O is one of the high points for me actually.

I hate to say this on a He-Man message board but if that trailer is anything to go by Thundercats is going to trounce MYP into the dirt epically.

That's not that controversial. If you said MOTU sucks and Thundercats is the only good toy based franchise from the 80's, you might get some angry responses.

    I think I agree.
And, at the end of the day, that's a good thing! This will only raise the proverbial bar for the next MOTU relaunch.

OT: Possibly old news - Thunder Cats

I just saw the ad on cartoon network for a new Thunder Cats TV show. Awesome. This maybe old news, but I am so excited to see the ad. It is due to air in July.

This will probably be the only other current line, besides the MOTU Classics, that I'm going to collect on a regular basis.

I do like the animation, but it's WB isn't it? a much higher end studio than MYP. I hope for the next MOTU cartoon Mattel doesn't go bargain hunting (though MYP did manage some fantastic animated episodes)I want a consitant level of high quality.
Anyway I will definitely check this out, hope that finally thundercats keeps my interest. GI Joe has managed to for the first time with renegades (I'm not a Joe fan except for the movie with cobra-la)
