I hope this is on On Demand since it doesn't look like it's going to be rerun anytime next week.

Also, is this show going to continue after the 1-hour pilot or is this similar to what they did with Young Justice where the show doesn't air again for months after the premiere?

My TRU Lion-O showed up yesterday. he is pretty cool despite the few drawbacks (that have already been listed here previously). I do like the articulation in the arms which allows for many different poses with how he holds the sword, which is awesome!

I'm debating if I want to even start collecting the 4 inch figures. Part of me wants to, but with everything start up now (Voltron, T-Cats classic) in addition to stuff that I'm already collecting, it will get really expensive really fast, even with how relatively cheap the 4 inch figures are.

I was doing the math last night, and to get the whole first wave of 4 inch figures plus the thundertank, the two motorcycles that attach to it, and that reptilian figure with whatever accessory he comes with will end up being well over $100 + tax. And if we keep getting waves like this periodically going forward, it's going to start to hurt. Especially when we get into 2012 with all of the extra MOTUC items and the Voltron sub starting up.

But I do worry about skipping them now, deciding that I want them later, and having to go to ebay and spend even more to get them if they aren't available in stores anymore. BAH! The conflict!

Because of MOTUC and Voltron specifically (and Clone Wars to a certain extent even though I cherry pick and have for years) I am only going to get Lion-O, Mumm-Ra, Grune, and the Thundertank for the 4" line

I will wait till they go on clearance or see if Toys R Us/Bandai offer deals and coupons (Buy 1 get 1, Buy 2 get 50% off, etc).

I just wonder IF getting them on clearance will even be an option. I don't want a repeat of MOTU 200X where I had to HUNT just to get some of the figures (and still ended up overpaying on the secondary market just to get some of them).

Do the smart thing, get the short packed figures are you find them, and the peg warmers (Lion-O, Tygra, Mummy Mumm-Ra) for a rainy day. Cheetara and the kids are a sure buy as found.

Keep in mind who is distributing them, if you have never collected a Bandai line the word overstock is commonly used. They usually do not comprehend how to undership lol

Like Lord Anubis just said get the ones that are shortpacked or less packed then just wait for the rest to go on sale or till finances are better

Also keep in mind the general toy industry rule that females never sell which in reality means they will be lucky to stay on the shelf for a day

Not because im more pro thundercats in ANY way, and Im always the first to give toys a honest review....

Just got my SDCC Lion-O...... anyone who dislikes this figure at all is drinking their own kool aid. The poses you can do with this thing makes a MOTUC look like a Weeble People.

Ok ok, the foot joint coulda been painted blue to match, but my sharpie is on hand for such misfortunes. THIS is the best toy ive ever owned. Its a perfect 50/50 of a high end collectable and action figure. The height is DEAD ON to what I want in a classic line. The balanace between this and MOTUC is exactally what I remember as a child, TC being bigger and bulkier and MOTUC being thick and squatty. I love both lines, but theres deffinatly more love put into Motuc by the sculptors for looks, but more fun in TC to play with.

Any NYC folks on here been to the TRU is Times Square? Wondering if they have any T-cats stuff out... They usually make a big deal over a new toy line like this... When the 2000x toy line debuted, there was a HUGE display and the horsemen came, etc... Keep an eye out!

Fantastic, this is finally hitting. Waiting for dvd season set is going be painful and I abit nervous with way I cant buy more Generator Rex and how wb does small volumes at best. I feel like only one that buys and supports them anymore I guess that they dont sell enough for media.

Agreed, that store has become a slum. They have nothing in stock EVER. Its just a razzle dazzle for tourists to come spend a extra 8 dollars a figure. And their attractions are SO out dated its sickening.... Jurassic Park? Really?

And if one more person asks me if I wanna take a picture with Geoffery when I enter the building, hes gunna get a sword of omens enema. Bank on it. Hooo!

I think we could use different threads for the toyline and the new cartoon. This thread gets convoluted at times and would probably be better served if it stuck to either just the cartoon or just the toylines and a new thread was created for the other...just my opinion...

Same exact thing as MYP's MOTU reboot is the only thing that comes to mind as I watch. Aren't they like 10 years too late for this?

My take on the new ThunderCats:

    AWESOME!!!

While I find Panthro really questionable, everyone else has cool designs, although I like the 80's designs a bit better.

Larry Kenney and Clancy Brown are awesome!

    I like Grune.

I love that technology was thought as "mythical". I thought that it really had to throw the ThunderCats for a loop when the Lizards' mechs came from the woods.

Lion-O seems like a dreamer and idealist. An interesting take on the character. I liked that his kindness was returned.

    Slythe is cool!

The sun hurts Mumm-Ra in mummy form now?

I like that it ended with the Cats on the run! We get to see WilyKit and Kat join up, find Panthro and build themselves from the ground up.

I must know if there's going to be a Snarf plush sometime in the toyline; Have to have one. Adorable! (never in a million years would I think I'd say that about Snarf...)

    Yep, that was Lynx-O.

The Trojan Horse plan is sooo played out.

Love the thunderkittens! Anyone else catch the orchestrated version of the "sight beyond sight" theme when Lion-O looked into the eye of Thundera?

I miss Sssslythe's verbal tic... yessss?

Great voice cast all around, I'm really impressed; will look forward to watching this every week.
MOTUC wants: Modulok, Entrapta, Scorpia, Madame Razz, Sea Hawk, Spinnerella, Double Trouble, Glimmer, Angella, Sweet Bee, Mermista, Flutterina, Perfuma, Peekablue, Kowl, Loo-Kee, Huntara, Two-Bad, Extendar, Tung Lashor, Sssqueeze, Kayo, Darius, Drissi, Hydron, Sebrian, Flogg, Crita, Hoove, Staghorn, Crystoll, Quakke, Chef Allen
Great .org transactions: sdilks, Man-E-Toys, bigassbuzz, Climan

I was very impressed, I must say I enjoyed this more than when MOTU rebooted (I know saying that on a he-man board is probably sacrilegious)

Cannot wait till next week, Voltron Force on Thurs and Thundercats on Fri is an incredible way to end the work week

The twists and turns at the end with Mumm-Ra, Grune is a ****er just like in the original and the comics.

And I say it again LOVE SNARF, whoever decided to do him that way deserves an award or at least a raise. They took probably the most annoying thing about the old toon and make it gold.

He was mid transformation, he just had to utter Mumm-Ra the EVER LIVING

So yes the sun hurt him because he was partially in demon form imo

I had similar thoughts myself, though I think the production values on Thundercats is a LOT higher than MOTU's. Series has a great artistic style thus far, great voice acting, I think Cartoon Network snagged me for the long haul with this one.

I do think that if this series, both as a cartoon and toyline, prove to have significant legs, it would just be another bit of proof in the "MOTU 2K failed because Mattel was/is incompetent" argument.
