The figures that can be produced are figures that were in the original MOTU, POP and NA lines, as well as in the mini-comics for these lines.
Characters that appeared in the 2002 MYP cartoon are also fair game.
Filmation characters are off limits!
Who will be produced will remain to be seen.

We will pick up to 5 questions we feel might get answers at that time. Please do not take offense to your question not being asked.

The questions that were asked in the previous Q&A & will be answered in a couple weeks as follows (please do not repeat them, or questions from previous Q&As):

1. zodak74: Fans are upset that She-Ra can not be shown maskless, due to the hole in her forehead needed in order to keep her classic toy mask on. When it comes time for Catra, will Mattel consider giving Catra two heads? One with the mask, and one with no mask? The "jealous beauty" won't be much of a beauty with a similar hole in her forehead!

2. FAKER II: Loose ankles on MOTUC figures are starting to become more common than rare. Is this an issue which Mattel will be addressing in the near future?

3. Eterniandreams: On the map of Eternia there is only 1 drawing that isn't named, the mountain surrounded by water north of the Temple of Hordak. It is weird that this is the only landmark on the map without a name. What is this mountain? Was the name forgotten by accident?

4. Scorpia: When Mattel get to Entrapta, have any considerations been made into how best to tackle the character's long hair? (given that this is a vital part of her and that rooted hair has been ruled-out for any characters)

5. bamf1980: If and when you get to She-Ra variants, would you please consider using the vintage bodice/skirt instead of the Style Guide/Filmation inspired outfit used for the current figure?
Having seen how awesome the vintage mask looks on her, I'd like to see the rest of the outfit show up at some point. If not on a "regular" She-Ra, then definitely on a Starburst She-Ra.

I know the rights for Filmation created MOTU & POP canon or characters aren't in the cards right now, but was there any consideration made with the bios in case Mattel ever acquired these rights? Or were the bios written & organized without any thought to potential future acquisitions like Filmation or the 1987 live action MOTU movie?

You've mentioned that the general idea when choosing a characters color scheme is to use their classics version before anything else (200X, Filmation, and/or possibly NA)

But so far with every re-release in this Classics line we have only seen the same classics color scheme that was used before with no changes made to the original colors (still no Filmation colored Hordak, 200X purple Evil Lyn, etc).

So my question is when can fans finally expect to see the first re-release of a figure to have an entirely different color scheme? If there are multiple versions available is it possible for the repaints to be given a fan poll as to which version they would want most?

Will he feature a second head with a drill in his eye to go along with the appearance in the Mo-Larr skit?

With characters such as Whiplash and Carnivus done, who allow for full reused parts (except the heads), are there plans to produce 2-Packs or Single Releases of generic warriors from multiple races like the Caligars, Snakemen, etc.? Or is Mattel going to focus only on 2-Packs/Releases of more well-known characters such as the Horde Troopers and Palace Guards?

There is some concern that the stiff plastic used for the skirt on the She-Ra figure will prevent her from riding beasts, most notably her pegasus, Swift Wind. Is this something that was taken into account when designing She-Ra and future rideable beasts?

Matty stated that while She-Ra's numbers were increased Keldor's were not and he was compared to an A-list varient like Battle Armor He-Man who didn't sell out for a few days. Since Keldor ended up selling out in about 20 minutes, will you (PRETTY PLEASE!) be increasing King Grayskull's numbers?

Now that the 2011 subscription will include all 12 monthly figures plus 4 large beasts and 4 bonus figures, will you still only keep the bonus figures as A-list variants like a Thunder Punch He-Man or Hurricane Hordak or can we some figures as well like we got with Zodak and the Goddess in late 2009? For example, wouldn't Stinkor be served best as a bonus figure than as monthly figure?

Have Mattel continued to look into creating their own Comic Book series and/or Animated movie/series based on the new MOTUC bios to be distributed through Matty Collector?

Since obviously MOTUC is doing better than Mattel had ever imagined, have the Four Horsemen now started work on any MOTU vehicles or playsets? I know that even if they have started on them today it would be a year before we saw on sale. Any hint to when we might be seeing one would be cool too.

Has Mattel ever considered advertising on Xbox 360/PS3? I've seen many, many companies that go after the same demographic and similar products advertise on there with gamer pictures and themes and such. Maybe around SDCC time? I know I for one would love Mattel and MOTU gamer pictures. I'd probably never change it either.

I know Mattel's decision about characters that come with alternative head but will we have the possibility to get at least She-Ra with the modern head packaged in her rerelease? Also will we have a twin brothers two-pack (like Adam and Adora, He-Man and She-Ra)?

'In a previous Q&A, you stated that Light Hope was a Filmation-designed character but that you may be able to create a different version of the character with the same name. Are you aware that Light Hope appears in his 'aura' form in the minicomic 'Where Hope Has Gone'? And if this changes things, can you envisage creating a character so far-removed from the human form?'

For the next Accessory/Weapon pack, how about helmet-less heads for Zodak and Man-At-Arms, Perhaps an orange Axe and Shield for Faker, An Additional Skeletor/Keldor cape (One with the proper color shading for Skeletor)?

Why was She-Ra's skirt made of a much less pliable material than Evil Lyn, thereby limiting her movements, when you said that all females moving onwards from Evil Lyn would have such pliable plastic?


( If I could ask a second question I'd ask if they're going to correct it for her rerelease, like He-mans shoulders was, along with quality control issues, but alas... Anybody else up for asking that question?)

Back in 2009, you told us about the faceless one being on tap for may 2011. Now that its 2010, can you give us another sneak peek at a figure scheduled for 2012?

Two part question here since we've had the Grizzlor leak: can we expect to see the removable Horde armband feature used with Hordak on all future Horde figures, including the females like Catra and Entrapta? Also, does the armband symbolize any special rank within the Horde?

Is there more information coming, in the bios, where a more in depth expanation of the blue-skinned Gars is revealed? With Keldor, Faker, and Cronis out of the way (and Shokoti seeming unlikely), it seems that the Gars history may not be revealed much further.

In the past there have been issues with customers who need to change their credit cards in the middle of the subscription due to the card expiring and it's been difficult. Has there been any advancement made in clearing up that process for the 2011 subscription? I ask because I am one of the few people who will have their credit cards expire in January just as the sub starts.

Does Mattel have anything to do with the the 25th Anniversary She-Ra DVD set that Classic Media have begun soliciting to retailers? They mention a mini-comic as one of the extras, and many of us were wondering if this was something new or possibly a reprint of one of the mini-comics that came with the vintage figures.

Reading a lot threads here latley, one question really bothers me.

Many threads are asking for different heads, helmet less Zodac and Zodak or Evil-Lyn, blonde Teela(or is she Teela-Na or even Sharella...), neutral looking Keldor face, no hole She-ra without tiara(what would make her an Adora with mini-comics long hair)...and talking about a Head-Pack.

So now here is my question:

Is this just wishful thinking or the truth and something like a Head-Pack is planned!?!
