That's not fair to Steve Urkel! As cheesy as that show is, I find myself unable to change the channel when it comes on Nick@Nite.

Don't think that'll happen. Remember all the people that were saying they hated She-Ra for one reason or another? If you check out the all the threads after the She-Ra sale, everyone who had been complaining was saying that they got three or four. Orko will be gone in five minutes.

I know. I was just being sarcastic. As much as a lot of MOTU fans say they hate Filmation's Prince Adam and Orko in general, I'm sure the 2-pack will sell out like crazy.

I like him, but he was never my favorite character. He would seem more tolerable in small doses. I do have to say that the MOTUC figure we are getting is the best Orko figure I've seen to date and in scale too!

Orko is not one of my favorite characters but I still do want him in my collection. But honestly, I am more excited for the bonus Prince Adam accessory that comes with Orko.

My girlfriend wouldn't like the negative talk against Orko. She loves him. I just gave her a couple of my Orko figures that are MOC. I gave her the Orko from the 200X line and the mini Orko from the 200X line. I also dug out the original Orko I played with as a kid and gave it to her to display. He even still has his hat and zip cord.

200X Orko was way more competent than Filmation Orko, especially if he could slow down great mages like Skeletor or King Hsss with basic spells. He even disguised Cringer as Panthor and would have reset the fallen Colossi around the palace if Man-At-Arms didn't mess him up.

I think Orko works in small doses. I also think that MYP did right in portraying his power levels. Think Akiro from Conan the Destroyer. A mage who is stuck using low level spells, rather than a mage who can't control his magic.

Agreed. Filmation Orko was the worst, in terms of look and character. Having him look like a floating shirt and hat, with a big "O" on it, looked sooo silly.

I love the MYP look, where he had on a medallion of some sort.

Also, in Filmation, I can't believe they allowed him to walk around with such a child like mindset, and unstable powers. It's just irresponsible on the part of the heroes.

I've said it before and I'll say it again: Orko added a childlike theme to an often very serious situation; almost like a 'security blanket" if you will.

In the most difficult and dangerous of situations, you felt an air of security seeming him there.

And yes...the guy's powerful, and he's definitely come in handy.

I like Orko, but I'm not crazy about him. I think he's best in small doses. My favorite Orko scenes are between him and MAA.

I have always hated him, I never watched Filmation and My Nana bought me Orko home from a visit to Sydney! I opened it, pulled the rip cord once, and threw him into a pile of spare toys, and played with the magic Trick!

I loved what the 200x toy looked like, cos it looked like a mage. But As a character they kept him stupid! they could have made him wise and powerful -think Yoda in a dress- but they kept him silly!

Its always bugged me that hes such a purely 'Filmation' style design and concept and yet we are stuck with him, and cant have Shadow weaver!!

I kind of feel the way you do. I liked the Filmation Orko, probably because I was a kid, and didn't find him too annoying. Looking back now, I can see that I was more forgiving.

The 200X Orko was awesome design wise, but sadly suffered the same bungaling persona of his vintage couterpart. He did shine for a few moments, however he did need vast improvements. Oh well. I guess we'll just have to use our imaginations and see Orko for his true potential, and not the lame comic relief he has been previously written for.
