Is Pre-Filmation Teela Truly Blonde???

I know that there are a lot of people who want a Teela that resembles the character from the DC Comics MOTU mini-series(that looks like she has red hair imo)...

...and the mini-comics(if you look at her hair in the 3 pictures on the lower left, it definitely looks like she was supposed to have reddish hair)...

...who refer to her as, more often than not, "blonde Teela". I thought nothing of this until I looked at some of these Pre-Filmation designs again recently. To me, it appears that Teela isn't really blonde. She's either a light red or at most a strawberry blonde. I don't know if Mattel changed their minds on her hair color after the comics were "colored" but before the toy was released or if there was just a gap in communication between the toy company & whoever worked on the comics. So I'm curious...

It's a lady's perogative to change her mind...as well as her hair color. Obviously she dyes.

Not to put too fine or urbane a point upon it, but the only true way to determine the real color of the drapes is to check the carpet...

LOL! I guess that yet another excuse for a head pack...
If they DO make DC Bikini Teela, I hope they release the head that they didn't color in a future head pack.

I'm not trying to be offensive to any guy who finds this stereotype untrue, but I was always "taught" that only little girls liked unicorns.

Of those that want a new Teela with blond or light red hair, how do you want her?

* DC Comics' "Bikini Teela"?

* Mini-Comics Teela with or without her unicorn?

* The MOTUC Teela re-released with a new paint job on her hair?

Same here! But I hope Mattel make a proper lower half and not that makeshift hips thing that the current MOTUC Teela has. I also don't want her bikini to be sculpted or moulded to her but something that they've designed to fit over her body, so that, in theory, it could be removable!

Preferably, she should be released as the DC Bikini Teela with the long hair as her main head, only with a MOTUC Teela head with a new paint job on her hair as her alternate head. Kill two birds with one stone.

Her unicorn can come later.

This is my preference also. I'd buy an extra strawberry blonde bikini Teela just to head-swap on a regular Teela to recreate my favorite Teela of all time, the Teela from the second series mini-comics.

Maybe, Eternia has hair dye too! Besides, we do not want people to confuse her with Adora! She looks hot either way! Better question: Why is Adam/He-Man waiting? Is he waiting for the ruffie to kick in with her?

Now, back to more important things! Does Skeletor dye his skull or wear make-up? (His facial colors change often with each figure. Skeletor in drag?)

If they make a blonde Teela, she shoould be strawberry blonde, think Marvel's Crystal or Dazzler. I don't want her to be She-Ra blonde, it should be more red toned.

I voted light shade of red.

Because she clearly was being depicted as a blonde. But Teela is a Redhead. That's just the facts. Just as He-Man wasnt always Adam, but now forever he will be, Teela is forever a reahead.

If you want to say that Teela blonde is Teela-Na, later to become the sorceress, then yeah, I love it, and make her blonde, whatever.

But Teela is a ginger.

I'm not saying dont make the figure, I just hope if they make a MOTUC Blonde Teela, it's either in a TRU 2 Pack DCUvsMOTUC, or as another character that existed in Oo-Lar's time.

Because Teela is a redhead.

Actually her hair changed from blonde to strawberry blonde to red all the time, sometimes within the same comic...

But my personal favorite mini-comic teela is strawberry blonde shoulder length hair.
