Awesome! I didn't know Mr. Mangels was a forum member. I've been a fan of his since I read his work on Innovation Comics' Child's Play series years ago.

Agreed!

It's a shame that Filmation & Mr. Scheimer always seem to get a lack of respect by fans and even some former employees but Hanna Barbera, which I also love, seem to get so much acclaim even though they were guilty of a lot of the same things Filmation is said to be.

Perhaps, I've been wrongly accusing Mattel of being the barrier, keeping me from my Shadow Weaver action. If these companies are of the Gordon Gekkonian variety, then it would appear I stand corrected. It really is upsetting to think that some company blinded by dollar signs is in control of Filmation's library. Truly unfortunate.

I'll be at the PRISM Comics booth for sure, and will do a book signing at the TwoMorrows booth for the Scheimer book (with Lou in tow if he can make it). **IF** Lou is there, there will likely be other signings as well...

And if I get some new comic book work, I'll be at a few other booths as well. Can't believe I'm planning out SDCC 2011!

That's a long-time fan! Also some of Darick Robertson's first work, long before he became a star! Child's Play #4 with Chucky versus the toy store toys (long long lonnnng before Toy Story) remains one of my favorites of my own work.

Ive just had an e-mail from Amazon saying this book has been cancelled

Does anyone know if it will only be for sale at SDCC? Or will they do a general release?

I spoke to Andy - He stated that the book is still coming out this July, but has not been resolicited to Amazon yet - Yay!

Not yet.
I'm thinking about it, some other stuff coming up may get in the way (and that isn't necessarily a bad thing), but if there are news about it, I'll post them here firts!

Unfortunately, the book has been delayed again. Layout is supposed to start any day now, and the hoped-for date is now October.

So I take it that this book's release might not happen?

edit: Just checked Andy's site. It says, "the book will be released in 2012."
