    MechaShiva Art Thread

MechaShiva is the art director for my website, Poe Ghostal's Points of Articulation. He doesn't have a He-Man.org account, but since I commission him to do a lot of MOTU-related artwork, I thought I'd start a thread for his work.

You've seen his Gygor art before.

I recently posted a discussion of Skeletor's MOTUC bio on my website. For the post, I asked MechaShiva to create an illustration depicting Hordak performing the actual Demo-Man/Keldor merging (which I'd never seen depicted before).

    Here's the piece he made.

Thanks, Raw! BTW, I don't know if you were aware but I actually put up a post about your art recently: http://www.poeghostal.com/2010/06/motuc-unbound.html

I also mentioned your Demo-Man in that Skeletor discussion.

Baena: Thanks! Well, thanks on behalf of MechaShiva

Really like this. It's a great concept and he has a really good "sketchy" style.

Is there a reason he decided to draw Keldor's face unaffected by acid? Recognisability maybe? (That's not a criticism, by the way, just curious)

I'm not sure--you may be right, recognizability may be why.

That Hordak/Keldor/Demoman would have made a fantastic cover for DC styled Secret Origins series for Skeletor. Really does a great job with the whole implications of Hordak as the puppet master of Keldor, even when Keldor thinks he's the master of all evil on Eternia .

Also, who was that one the fake card-back art? Those animal people reminded me of creatures Denbrenus drew. Was it meant to be a Preternia character cardback with an early cobra headdress Sorceress (not Teela)
Visit my art page at: http://theblock.deviantart.com/ , if you like my work and have an account there to, feel free to fave or watch me, I could use the street cred !

I think that the warrior on the floor is Tiger man of the Galaxy Warrior. For the another, I don't know.
