I'll have to go with the MYP Guards as they look more reminiscent of the
generic looking guards in the Filmation. I also believe they would look fantastic
with the Classic MAA. Now when they eventually do Miro, which I wager they will,
then I would like to see the MYP guards with the turbans, which I suppose was
the standard uniform during the Marzo uprising.
I know in my heart it will probably be the MYP Man-At-Arms style guards, but personally, I'd love to see them in the style of the Point Dread record & comic.
But then, I always was a sucker for that whole Viking / medieval / mythological hybrid mix style from early in the line.

Maybe there is a ranking system...the MAA guards could be the elite guard, while the Point Dread guards are the basic variety. The turbaned guards are probably active during the Great Unrest (unless I can find pics of them in modern times).
The "turbaned" guards are in modern times. They're in several episodes, and I was always curious of the difference between the two. One must be more elite or a different specialty.
It'll likely be the MAA-looking ones, which is fine by me.
Hahaha, for some reason, the MAA-themed soldiers are the only ones I ever pictured when people posted stuff about an Eternian Guard 2-pack. Sign me up for MAA-themed guards!
Thanks to Filmation, that's what most fans picture when it comes to guards. However, there ARE varieties of guards. Even MYP had TWO different versions.
The armored guards have to be the heavy duty versions.
I thought more like the Palace Guard (which was once the Council's Guard) and the Eternian Guard.
I honestly don't like the MMA-style guards. Especially with MOTUC, those guys would just be MAA with less armour pieces and a different head. Honestly, I prefer MAA to look unique in my display.
I voted for the MYP 'turban' guards. They have a great, very simple design that would be both easy to produce and would fit in really well with the aesthetic of MOTUC. It was a hard decision, though. I love the medieval-style guards, and would love to have those ones as well.

Actually, I really prefer the version in the POINT DREAD MINI-COMIC. But I have a strong suspicion that we will be getting the "armored" MAA-style versions, which saw regular use on Filmation.
But I really like the "renaissance" version better.

Is it possible to update the poll to include the Filmation guard look as per the Double-Edged Sword mini-comic.
The design is Filmation all the way, only different colours. This look should be available to Mattel and if Toyguru's answer to the Queen Marlena dress colour issue is any indication Matty should be able to release this version of Palace Guards in their animated colours (or any other colours) also!

How about the ones that come out in "Lessons" in the MYP series? They're usually seen driving the Battle Tanks. Would they be considered Guards Men?
Awesome. This time I voted for the Turban Guards and the Medieval Ones. Want both. Want both very much.
I can't find my copy of the comic -- didn't the Film-adaption comic also have Eternos Guards dressed similar to Film-Duncan, or am I remembering incorrectly?
