I'm going to reserve judgement for now, but I'm glad it sounds like they'll be getting vintage toy colors ... Glimmer and Angella (IMO) looked particularly hideous in the cartoon. Even if they get style-guide outfits, at least the colors should be better. And I'll be thrilled to see Castaspella in her all-gold/yellow outfit.

I actually prefer a lot of the old toy versions, personally, so it will be interesting to see where the compromise falls on a lot of these.

At least we've got the 4HM on the job, so we should all end up reasonably satisfied.

I'd be very happy to see some of the toy POP figures clothing incorporated into their MOTUC versions instead of just relying on the more simplistic styleguide/animated looks.

However, with Catra I'm really torn. I think I'd much rather the first Catra based on the animated look with a future quarterly update taking on the toy look.

Forgive me for going off-topic, but this is something i've been wondering for a while now: is there any difference between the two? I thought the style guide & licencing guide were the same thing.

    They're basically the same thing.

I think the style-guide is way way way too simple. So far all of the MOTU figures have lots of great detail to their sculpts, but since the POP She-ra has been based off of her style guide (a simplified version of her original design, created to simplify the animation process) She almost looks too plain and bland in comparison. The MOTU figures are based off of their vintage sculpts, and I think its only fair that POP get the same treatment.

Does CATRA have to have that tail?

I bet she will. Was the tail intended to be a synthetic part ti her outfit, or is it an appendage sticking out of her derriere?
