Eamon's right, PixelDan is talking about tethering. You can use almost all Blackberries and some other phones as a modem. If you call your cell phone company up and ask about it specifically, they HAVE to tell you about it. If you don't ask, nobody will ever tell you.

Cell phone companies do not like people knowing this. I worked for a U.S. one before, so I know.
