MOTUC Meejitz

Hey guys.

A lot of you know I've been trying to settle on a style and refine things a bit, as I haven't been happy.

I feel really happy and comfortable with cartooning (Though it is nice once in a while to step out of my comfort zone), and have tried to progress my "chibis" a bit into something that is idenitfiably mine.

Meejitz (Or *******) is my way of expressing this. They're also designed in a way I think could work as a vinyl figure, but perhaps thats just me.

So rather than do my usual of drawing every character, I'm only going to draw these as they are released as MOTUC characters ( I have catching up to do). I don't think I could do another Horde chibis thing for a while. LOL.

First up is KELDOR, who is my fav MOTUC figure at the moment.

You're right, it definitely lends itself to the vinyl figure very well!

The ONLY thing I'm iffy about is the point on the back of his head. Have you tried it with a rounded version? I understand it's part of the stylizing of the piece, but I'm thinking 3D, vinyl figure, and it doesn't work as well.

@sdilks - A few pople have commented on the pointy head thing. Its just my style, I've been trying to be looser with my pencils and this is kinda what get churns out. I think it becuase I see Keldor with slick hair.

I'm enjoying these, and I like the evolution from the "chibi" style. I think it's a definite step up.

I like drawing these more as its definitely more my style than trying to obey the laws of the chibi (Which I usually broke anyway).

I think these are great. You should patent the design and approach Mattel to make these as vinyl figures something like Superhero squad sized and I think they would sell really well.

@R. Calamari - A few people have mentioned these woulbe great vinyls. Not sure Mattel would think so. The style is very much my own, and I have been sorting the patenting of the design.

@Baronindy - I have no idea what to say... do you find my style of She Ra disturbing, or the ideas behind her ever changing look?

Now Your Trapjaw looks awesome. Hopefully you'll make more of them if not all of them. I would really love to see how you would make Modulok or Dragstor. I cant wait to see more.

Unfortunately my laptop died a death and will be getting fixed over the next 6 WEEKS!!! I'll keep drawing till then.
