The chrome She-Ra's are a fun idea, but I think if they're an echo of the King Grayskull Statue figures, it would have been a neater idea to make them look crystalline, like they could be statues that are inside Crystal Castle.

But that would require Mattel to actually think a little more about the POP characters and world...

Someone needs to ask Randy Falk to give Scott Neitlich the Street Fighter license after he got it from Jerry and wasted it. That, and how could he screw up TMNT, basing the future of the line on April sales instead of releasing Foot Ninja army builders? He had the ultimate Ninja Turtle line and he blew it.

Probably. TFW2005 had that same setup for the Transformers panel this year.

Has anyone seen the main page picture over at AFI? It shows Wun-Dar opening the oven to reveal the Spy Monkey logo. Is this suggesting a joint venture between Mattel and Spy Monkey?

I agree. I do like the idea of a chrome version of Entrapta, but I want one of the gold ones too and i want a styleguide/filmation version too. She really needs 3 versions of her character.

But sadly they will say that they can't do the chrome version due to all of the tooling going into the logistical mechanics of the hair or some crap like that

Yeah...and He-Ro was supposed to be vac-metal plated gold...but he was just paint. He-Ro would look GLORIOUS done that way.

I dunno, but he was in line then got to this area where someone pointed him to the sign, and he was PO'd. Cause he's got to leave tomorrow, mid-day, so no chance for getting any Mattel stuff.

That's crazy. Things have just started to kick off today and they are already out through Sunday. I feel bad for folks who only had a day pass and had hoped to get their hands on an exclusive. Unfortunately, the only way to even remotely get a crack at even getting in line is to get the entire con pass.

That's the Mattel SDCC fiasco starting all over again !

(Did they go out of items because they sold to scalp€rs again this year ? Might be a possibility, since I read that "retailers" were still in the lines to get plenty of exclusives...)

I really feel sorry for people spending money to attend the con and hoping to get an exclusive, then being disappointed because of bad "SDCC marketing tactics".
