    Gwildor MOTUC Speculation/Discussion

OK, I know this little guy doesn't get much love, Now I know sooner or later he will be released in the MOTUC line.

Now what I want to know is, in addition to the Cosmic Key being included with him, will we get

A bucket of Robby's chicken and ribs with him?

It only seems right. WunDar got a loaf of bread so Might this little guy get his bucket of Robby's chicken and ribs.

Now I know the Movie company has rights to the name Robby's chicken and ribs, so Mattel can just include a generic bucket of chicken and ribs.

    What so you guys think?

I've said it before, and I'll say it again--When introduced, I saw him as a substitute for Orko, but realized it wasn't his fault. And the fact it was Billy Barty just made him that much more endearing. I love Gwildor because he's so bizarre and excentric and can't run fast so He-Man has to carry him.

I'd love for him to have a bucket of chicken, but since it's iffy, what if they gave him a WHOLE chicken??? We could have the chicken and bread and everyone can come together for a meal.

I thought Matty stated they would not be doing any movie figures. (I would love a movie Skeletor and a Lubic figure.)

But if they did do Gwildor, I think the bucket of chicken would be an great accessory. I think its an awesome idea.

They can not do any movie figures that weren't figures before. Gwildor, Blade, and Saurod are fair game.

I'm really looking forward to Gwildor.

The bucket of chicken is a pretty cool idea, but how about a cow? MOO

Pitiful...or hideous, can't quite remember what he said.

Personally I always liked my Gwildor toy. I thought the key was cool and the toy was different, nicely detailed.

I'd rather see Gwildor with a staff. Chicken's no good in a fight.

Lubic sounds like a MOTU character in his own right. Maybe he could be Lub-ic, like Wun-dar. I don't know what his special power will be.

Im not interested in a bucket of chicken, that would go straigt in my motu weapons tin never to see daylight again lol. I would like to see Gwildor with a more movie accurate cosmic key as well as the toy version for people who like everything to be the same as th original toy release. His staff would be good to and maybe the grapple hook.

No chicken, gang! It was ribs, and I would love to see that!

I can't wait for Gwildor. He's one of my favorites. I stole my cousin Mikey's when I was a kid because I never got him (sorry Mikey!).
Not to sound like a creepy cheerleader for Uki, but it's nice to know there is at least one person on this forum who is extremely positive & friendly all the time. I don't think I could be that nice even if you paid me. If we ever give out awards for "forum member of the month", Uki gets my vote. -Mr. Shokoti

I'm psyched to see Gwildor in the MOTUC line. On one hand, I think it will be awhile because he would require an all-new sculpt that really couldn't be re-used. On the other hand, since he is so small, he would be cheaper to produce...

I don't need the ribs. Just the cosmic key - although his staff would be cool as well.
Photog is here! thank you, Mattel!

Now how about some mini-comics love (like Lodar, Geldor, Dakon......)? And Mermista?

Nope, it was chicken and ribs. When they were eating, Teela questioned why they put the meat on the "little" sticks and Man At Arms told her they were ribs.

    Man At Arms ate chicken.

Gwildor has a place in the MOTU mythos. Toyguru has brough him up a few times and I'm sure eventually he'll be coming along with Blade and Saurod.

In my cannon, Gwildor is a great inventor and locksmith. He did invent the cosmic key which might be tied to NA. He might also be tied to the Three Towers and it's past. I liked his minicomic but it was too short.

He a scientist and doesn't rely on magic. I can see him tinkering around with Man-At-Arms on inventions. Since he's a locksmith too, he might also be helping trap the evil warriors and creating prisons they can't escape from.

The problem is that he is going to be a very unique tooling and they are not going to be able to reuse his body on anybody else.

If I was to make him, I would make him to scale. Try to combine the movie look along with the toy and get a compromise. I don't think having an exact movie replica would look to well next to the rest of the MOTUC figures. His cosmic key is a given. I would toss in the staff and that's it.
We survived the long night.... MOTU Forever!

Actually, guys, they could create a dwarf sized body, and create "armor" pieces to go over it (like Optikk).

    From it they could make:

    -Gwildor
    -old man Marzo
-Loo-Kee (he could be bigger in the motuc line and possible with new forearms, hands, & feet)
-Odiphus (that would be tricky, but possible with new arms and feet)
-Madame Razz (if Filmation is acquired)
-any of the Widgets or Twiggets (if Filmation is acquired)

the first four are probably enough to justify a new buck. They might have to create a new slot for this type if figure akin to the large scale/Beast figures, and include a lot of accessories.
A Want List of Sorts: Eldor, Imp, Filmation Hordak, Sweet Bee, Arrow, NA She-Ra, Spinnerella, Mermista, Gwildor, Tung Lasher, Ninjor, Lizard Man, Dragstor, Huntara, ... and all the other POP & NA characters.

A very good notion, and the kind of thing I hope Mattel has looked at with their plans. At the very least, old man Marzo (who, by the bio on Marzo's card, is now officially part of the new storyline) and Gwildor would be prime candidates and rather easily made from a basic body.
