Experiences with MattyCollector.com on SDCC sale-date (Aug 2nd)

3 computers, 44 minutes, but I managed to score my Orko and Plastic Man! The WSOD for so long sucked, but I'm happy I got them.

Got my order for Orko and Molarr/Skeletor finally. If you're stuck on WSOD like I was for at least 30 min, I suggest opening a separate window and trying again. I did that and it went right through while the other window was stuck on WSOD. I don't trust that WSOD.

What are the chances that he sold out, but the site is glitching and letting people still place orders?

They either

A) Made a BIZILLION of everything

B) Are having a glitch (like you said)

or

C) Have a LOT of people stuck in WSOD still

I've had Orko in my cart for almost 40 minutes....... I can't check out because my screen refreshes every 5 ****** seconds .....

That's what happened to me. Then when I finally was processing the order it logged me out and then I had zilch in my cart. Back to square one.

UPDATE ** Finally able to log on with FireFox and in my order history it says I have an order submitted. I hope it goes through. LOL!!

I received two server errors when trying to confirm my order, the third worked finally - and then I received three different order confirmations.

So it seems I will receive three Orkos ...

Took me forever to get through. I was logged in prior to the WSOD and then suddenly I wasn't anymore when I got to Orko's page. Then it took forever to log back in. Got him though.

This was only my second experience with Matty. The first was Marzo and all went well with him. This time though, whoa boy! 31 minutes of WSOD. I thought I was going to miss out. Then all of a sudden I was able to get my order through just as I was taking a phone call at work. I'm sure the person on the other end had to have known that I was really distracted.

Looking forward to Whiplash and Trapjaw in a couple weeks, I hope that goes better!

Had two windows going so that I wouldn't miss out on orko. One one window, I did NOT hit refresh, just like Matty says. On the other, I refreshed several times.

The window that I refreshed netted me an Orko 13 minutes after the sale time. The window that I did not refresh is still on wsod 45 minutes after the sale time. Looks like it doesn't pay to follow instructions...

I went to mattycollector a few minutes before 10 and got the refresh screen until 31 min after. I figured I missed out, but when the site finally loaded I went to the masters area and clicked Orko and the order screen loaded up with only a couple refresh cycles. I then ordered 1 and tried to move on but after a few refresh cycles it came back to the same page and showed 0 as my quantity ordered so I put 1 back in and tried to move on again. This time it moved on to billing, but had 2 as my quantity. I changed it back to one and used the little refresh icon to reset the price total and from there it was smooth. I was amazed with such a long refresh time out of the gate that Orko was still available.

Ok so I was logged in to mattycollector about an hour before sale time.
Sale time arrives and I get the WSOD. Stays that way for atleast 20 minutes or more. Finally get thru and get to checkout page and I have to log in again. Then back to the WSOD for about another 20 minutes. Finally past all that and make it thru checkout.

Worst experience Ive had on there-other then not getting Battle Cat but even then I didnt have to wait so long to find out, lol.

But in the end I was able to place my order.
BUT I have not gotten my order confirmation yet. So...

This is ridiculous. I have been trying to order this figure for 45 minutes. I finally got to the check out screen and tried to log in. I'd get a few letters of my user name and it would refresh on me. I finally, clicked on checkout again and lost my place. The server is down.

Wasn't looking forward to this as I only got home 5 minutes ago, but logged on straight away and placed my orders with no problems whatsoever!!!

Ugh, that was awful. I finally just now got my order submitted, but it's still ridiculous that they're using a company as inept at online retail as Digital River.

The WSOD should not exist in the first place, and it doesn't even work the way they say it does. I went to the website minutes before noon on my desktop, and didn't refresh the WSOD, but I was able to get in on my laptop 10 minutes later, and refreshing didn't move me to the "back of the line."

Also, I ran into the two really obnoxious problems today that others have been experiencing. I couldn't even review the information on the checkout page, because the site refreshed itself and threw me into the WSOD. Also, on Firefox on my laptop, when I did finally get into the bundle page, everything was listed as "coming soon," and this was 20 minutes AFTER noon.

Using the latest versions of Chrome, Firefox, and Safari I ended up having the best luck with Safari. Managed to get 1 Orko in the end.

First Matty's late starting the sale. Then, when I shockingly succeed in getting the store page JUST as they start uploading the add to cart buttons, no sooner do I click Mo-Larr then it auto-refreshes and kicks me to the WSOD for 25 minutes!

When it comes back, I click Orko, get as far as the checkout page... and WSOD again. I only finished buying them five minutes ago... and I was sick to begin with!

9:50, thats the time I clicked on Orko, wsod until 9:15. I was entering my e-mail and password when the page refreshed on me. Had to copy and paste my email and write my password fast. wsod until 9:45 and finally my order was done, now i'm wanting for my email confirmation. It took me almost 1 hour to order, but i got him.

I finally got my figures after 48 minutes of WSOD. Worst Matty day experience ever for me, including Battle Cat!

IE7 seems to be faster then Firefox atm at least for me.

I usually have to waste about 10-15 minutes of "on the clock" time on Matty Day. Today I was successful at ordering, but it took 36 minutes total. Glad to get service, but I'd prefer a faster transaction and much much much less WSOD.
