Question about the whole sequence of events.

The MOTU Series Bible: Was that for everything? The first MOTU DC Comics, the first batch of Mattel Mini-Comics, the toys, and the cartoons, or was it just for the cartoons?

This is probably a stupid question but anyway...When Mattel was producing the action figures for Man-At-Arms, The Sorceress and Teela, did they know that those three were going to be a family? Did they know the whole story?

Michael Halperin wrote the Series Bible for Filmation Studios.

Mattel didn't know the whole story. Because Mattel's first mini-comics were written by Donald F. Glut and he wrote a very fantasy-based barbaric world for a He-Man (from jungle tribe), a Man-At-Arms and others. When they produced Man-At-Arms he was just the weapons master in first batch of figures. Teela-figure actually was Warrior Goddess and was used for two characters basically, when you removed the armor.
Of course when Filmation made the Sorceress Teela's mother and that version became popular, Mattel much much later in the line produced The Sorceress-figure.

At DC Comics, when Mattel approached Paul Kuppenberg, he also didn't really have much to go with, other than some toys and whatever general layouts Mattel had. [Sallah's interview with him]

The book did come out and the first printing sold out.

James is doing a reprint, yes, so you'll be able to order a copy if you missed out.

Very happy to hear this is getting a reprint for those that missed out! It is a FANTASTIC book that should be in every MOTU fan's collection...

Same here, Just voted for a reprint.

I tried to order one of the original copies off amazon a few days ago. It had been listed as "new"... and it arrived looking like a table coaster with corners curling inward, tobacco stains 2' into the book.... ugh.. an has a horrible mildew smell...

...EPIC FAIL.

Voted! Also, may I humbly request an omnibus edition of the first several editions of Cereal Geek? I'd pay $50/$60 for a hardcover reprint of the first ten issues.

Just a thought to help you get your publishing empire on a roll.

You might want to alter your idea for the issues included in that proposed hardcover or you'll be waiting a long time. There have only been 7 issues printed so far(along with the Powercon/Thundercon special).

I know, but I figured by the time anyone got around to seriously considering my request, at least 15 issues will have been released by then.

I have the first four issues but being a comic fan, the trade paperback format has ruined things for me and so now I want to wait until they're all collected in one tome.
