Is there any information you have uncovered about the Mara prototype figure that was never released and why the character is 'in legal limbo' with regards to production in MOTUC?

Was a Crita figure planned as well? Both Mara and Crita appear with dramatic changes to their costumes in the later part of the NA series; Mara wearing the outfit her prototype wears.
