    [QUOTE=MegaGearMax;2517256]What slots? Bonus figure slots?

You like the Vintage figures, why don't you buy those? See how that's easily flipped?QUOTE]

I did buy those, but they came out 20 yrs ago & we are getting a updated look to the line which was most popular. (& these figures mostly do look like those figures) My view is 200x is recent, I dont want to see them remade... But if enough people want them im sure they will make them.

But if you wanna throw in an extra head I guess I'd be cool, just dont change the body for the love of all that is HOly! Keep the Classic look Por Favor

What he said^^^ I can't believe it's gotten to the point where He-man.org has a voting poll on this issue. Clearly there are alot of people worried about 200X details being completely removed from this line. I don't think that is the case. All Matty wants to do is eliminate the extra 200X style heads. Is this vote supposed to get Matty to change their minds about the additional heads? There are logistical reasons as to why they don't want to add extra heads... deal with it. As far as subtle 200X cues in the MOTU "C" line, I'm sure they will continue to add them to the figures. It sounds like Matty decided to lean more towards the original style and avoid the whole "anime hyper detail" look which is fine... I'll be honest, I was kinda hoping for an alternate Buzz-Off head... But I'm not going to start a poll and try to convince Matty to make one just because the fans want it.

If #1 means keeping extra heads and accessories, and maybe the occasional nod in the direction of 200X as in the case of Hordak's head say, while maintaining the overall look of the 80's line, which is what the line seems like up till now, then I'm all for #1. I approve of the 200X characters that they've done so far, and the way they've done them.

Now, do I want 200X style to REPLACE the 80's style on upcoming figures? No. I'll admit that if the Evil Lynn we got was 200x Evil Lynn, I would not have liked it. That's just a preference thing though. If Zodac had been replaced by 200X Zodak, I wouldn't have liked it. Giving it as another character, I'm fine with that. Doing an Evil Lynn redeco down the line, maybe coming up with a bio explaination of the change, that sounds great to me!

I'm sure you'll be happy, even if they DID include the 200X or newly sculpted 4H stuff. Those elements are often removable.

I want all eras to be part of MOTUC. I also like to have options.
There for, I choose option #1.
Fictional characters are just that. Fictional. They have no personality or free will of their own.
Writers and editors mold them to their own wants and needs.
All we as the audience and fans can do is pick and choose our favorite interpretation and ignore the rest.

I'm thinking that the fans would rather have as much possible packed away for the $20 ($30 with shipping) as possible. This might not be about 200X specifically, but more options period.

The fans would rather have more accessories than less accessories.

Exactly. They should be giving the fans as many options for display as are reasonably possible, not slavishly sticking with options that only pay homage to one aspect of MOTU due to some arbitary, prejuidiced mindset about one of the iterations of the property.

Yea I think that the second 200x heads should be included. It's cool to see them both done by the 4H.

Didn't they vote for second heads. I mean do we really need different facial expressions. I'd rather different canon versions.

I haven't voiced my opinion on Toy Guru's revelation yet. But I feel like I know exactly why Mattel made the decision.

How much of the $20 they get from a customer goes towards paying for the extra head in the package? $2? $3? $5? Why would Mattel forego saving that money instead of including an extra head when every one of these figures is selling out? Instead including two heads, Mattel can simply rerelease the figure down the road with a 200X head. That way, instead of losing a little bit of the profit on a given figure by paying the cost of tooling a second head, they can rerelease the figure with the second head down the road and make that much more additional profit for the cost of tooling the second head. The first release with the vintage head will sell out. The second release with the 200X head will sell out. Makes sense from a business standpoint.

And if they're saying now that they're really not going to release Buzz-Off with a more 200Xesque head down the road, I don't believe them.

I think all eras should recieve representation. Even Filmation (which I hate) should get some love.

I voted that I would like to see it in there... BUT, I would have preferred to vote for yet another option:

"I want to see some 200x elements, but I would prefer it if they are kept mostly to 200x original characters and variants. ( Such as Egyptian Sorceress or Chief Carnivus)"

That, above, is definitely how I feel.
I'm still disappointed that the MotuC Zodak looked so little like the original 200x-version, but I'm not very bothered by Grizzlor not having an alternate 200x face.

This was easy vote for me. I also want all eras of MOTU represented and the 200X era brings a lot to the table as witnessed by the numerous "subtle" and "ouvert" touches in the Classics line up to this point.

I know I already posted, but.

It always saddens me when a fandom as small as this factionalizes. The fact that we have gone so far that we're having this kind of vote is a worrying sign for the future.

Okay, I took my chance to vote for the first option. I'm a MotU 200x Fan and I love all the 200x design elements included in the MotUC Line. Fans had the chance to vote if the would prefer mini comics or bonus heads in the beginning. Bonus heads won. So I'm very disapointed seeing less and less of them. As far as we can tell the MotUC Line is very sucessfull. Every character is sould out fast and they keep inreasing the production numbers every few months. So I think its a shame that Mattel is giving the 200x fans a roundhouse kick by canceling the 200x bonus heads.
And, to be honest, I have a problem understanding some vintage fans to speak against the 200x heads, as long as they are optional. Come on people, we are one worldwide community of MotU fans. We all want to be on the MotUC boat, 200x fans too.

We were asked if we want mini comics or optional heads. So please, give us optional heads and lots of them. And we were told MotUC is intended to include all versions and universes of MotU, so please don't forget the 200x fans, Mattel.

The factions have always been there--it's the hope of new toys that brings this out.

I think if Transformers was like online only, with one TF a month like MOTUC, those fans would be in-fighting too. If Hasbro decided to only make 12 Transformers from any era for that whole year, you'd be seeing even more epic debating. G1, Beast Wars, Beast Machines, Robots in Disguise, Armada, Energon, Cybertron, Bayformers and Animated fans would all be arguing to see who gets made.

Call me dumb, but I still don't understand this poll.

It seems that the issue is being skirted around. This poll isn't really about 200X being represented with details and accessories in a figure's release. It's about 200X heads, and the choices provided are not making that clear.

If I vote for Option 2, this poll will say that I do not want 200X influences. I do, but I don't need a second head that doesn't match the figure's body and inaccurately represents the 200X variant of the character. For example, I love Whiplash's 200X weapon more than the spear and I'm glad they put it in.

If I vote for Option 1, this poll will say that I am pro-200X heads with all qualifying releases. I'm not.

If I vote for Option 3, I'm saying I have no opinion in the matter and will buy anything.

Call this thread what it's really about.

I'm all for more accessories from any era including 200x. However, extra 200x heads don't even effect me so I chose option 2. I just don't care about them or use them so screw it.

I am annoyed though because I voted for mini comics over extra heads and now look where we are.

In fact almost ALL extra heads are useless and pointless to me, especially since I'm mostly a MOC collector. Very, very few characters actually could even use an extra head also. That is the reason why I voted for mini comics. I think it's pretty easy to tell which head is the more popular for each and every character so far.

I mean how many people are even going to use the non-mustache head for Bow? That's not even 200x-related but just goes to show you extra heads aren't all that important. I don't even know why it's gotten to be this big of a deal...

And that would be FAR worse than what we're dealing with here imo! If I was a hardcore TF fan like I am MOTU, I'd be one of those so called "geewuners" that you like to throw around when talkin about TF fans.

I'd save a lot of money too if that were the case, unless that line was loaded with G1. I could do without pokeformers, bayformers, terrible animated formers, and what have you.

CM, I'm not trying to pick on you...but if you're mainly a MOC collector, how would extra heads or mini-comics effect you if you don't open the package to use either?
