Eternian Metal

So I was looking at Whiplash today (awesome figure!) and started to think a bit about his weapon. Since his spear is completely orange I thought what would it be made out of? Many characters have colored weapons so does that mean that each color is a different metal or do you think that Eternians use some process to dye their weapons? Is it just to represent that the weapon or armor is magical? I find it also interesting that some share the same colors for weapons like Webstor, Man-At-Arms, Whiplash and Faker.

What do you all think? Different Metals? Magic? I am leaning towards the idea of bizarre colored ore, some more rare than others.

I guess due to Mattel having these odd colors for weapons, it's better to just work the idea into the story. For me I've just assumed they were painted. "War paint" I guess you'd say. Their wild idea of fashion and colors just bleed over into their weapons as well. It's about the only thing I've ever came up with.

Hahaha! That vegetable/fruit alloy is popular because Man-At-Arms, Faker, Webstor and Whiplash all use it. Tri-Klops even has some on his armor.

The only things that come to mind to me are Eternium and Corodite. Those are the metals or minerals of Eternia to me. Who knows what is actually made out of them though. He-Man's harness right?

I bet Spikor would be the one to start an Eternian Metal band. Y'know, he lives out there in the sticks all alone building stuff. No one would care about the noise either. Two-Bad could do the vocal harmonies himself and I bet Beast-Man would be a kick-ass drummer.

I always used MAA at a reference and thought they were comic colours for:
Orange - Brass
Blue- steel or aluminum
Grey- iron

Noooo. Strawberrium isn't durable enough to withstand the rigors of outer space. The cosmic enforcers use Di-cherrous appleoxide for their armor.

I always thought that they were strange alien metals with strange alien properties, allowing for strong enchantments and innate powers.

I figured the Eternian metals were as varied in colour as Earth gems.

But this as well. I was actually refering to the stranger metals, but I agree with this basically. THough in my young imagination it was more

Gray - Steel
Blue - Iron (but less brittle and lighter than earth Iron)
Orange - Brass/bronze
Gold - Duh (but harder and lighter than earth Gold)

but basically it was "eternian" gold or "eternian" steel.
