yeah checked it out and I am sorry to say that your site isn't really for everyone I suppose. It kinda rubbed me the wrong way, being a 200x fan and all. But it's no big deal, I'm sure there are others that probably will like it.![]()
I don't normally post updates about Vaults Of Grayskull on He-Man.org, but I have added quite a lot of new stuff and I thought you might be interested.
On the Classics photographs page, there are now photographs of:
- Orko
- Prince Adam
- Whiplash
Also in the Classics section, there are six new pages:
- Collecting Classics
- A New Canon
- Map Of Eternia
- Land Of Giants
- Club Eternia
- Four Horsemen
In the Fiction section, there are three new short stories and a novel trilogy (adding to the already-published short stories and Grayskull trilogy and completing the Grayskull Saga):
- The Council Of Grayskull
- King Of Eternia
- Son Of Glormsbane
- Resurrection (trilogy)
The Grayskull Saga is available as a single PDF file, so there is no need to stay online to read the tales.
Also in the Fiction section is a new article about:
- Castle Grayskull
I hope you visit and enjoy looking at some of the new pages. Thank you for your support.

Take a look at my deviantart. http://kaassouffle.deviantart.com/gallery/
It's a great site for Pre-Filmation Era fans!
The art section is interesting because the early MOTU vehicle box art shows a dark and barbaric world with volcanic fissures, while the later MOTU world, popularized by the cartoon, is now vibrant and lush.

Solid site man. I've only checked out the MOTUC photos section so far (which I LOVED), but you made the "Favorites" add.
This was a great line:As with the original, a woodland scent has been mixed into the plastic (you won't detect that from these photographs unless your Internet connection is really good).
Great B/S/T'ers: Slayor, Blue Monkey, no_frills_inc, the80sdrummer, Super He-Man, loadzone, Troy-Klops, Son of Keldor, soundwavempl, masterenglish, Mern-Ra, and gl28141!

Fantastic site! I'm browsing it now and I'm enjoying it a lot.
WOW WOW WOW WOW!
Great site, and the section on 200X is like you reached into my mind and dragged out all my issues with that line of toys, particularly the LOTR analogy and the recognition of He man being hunchbacked!
Im a little disappointed that the other - He-Ro,Zodak,Optikk,Adora etc- MOTUC figures dont get great pics, and descriptions. Id like to read your take on them, they could be in a separate photo folder,I understand your reasons for not including them But I would be interested to see if you think they can legitimately be ret-conned into your view of the Eternia mythos!
Well done!

I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?

Great site!
I don't agree with your dismissal of 200x, but to each their own, I personally enjoy something from every era of MOTU, even the movie.
My only suggestion would be to add an additional section for the other figures that don't fit your cannon, like Staff of Ka suggested.
Vaults, the anime presence in 200X was Mattel's own doing anyway.
200X was originally the hyper detailed versions of the original characters until Mattel's focus groups saw that Naruto and DragonballZ were super popular and had the 4H change the sculpts and ideas. This was covered in the MYP cartoon DVDs.
Cool site.
As much as lush and mysterious look of the Filmation cartoon is near and dear to my heart, I'll always love the dark, elemental look of those box art paintings too. The first things I remember seeing for MOTU back in the day were the Castle Grayskull/He-Man/Beast Man commercial with the booming timpani drum playing in the background AND those awesome, atmospheric-looking box art images in the store toy aisles. That stuff made it all feel so epic.

I've always liked your site, I've jumped here and there on it's pages for months, just some little details made me not fully enjoy the fan-fictions you host there, two over it all are the fact that Tee-la is already MAA's daughter, which in the original barbarian canon was not, it cames out in the subsequent Conn/Texeira comics, and the Zodac allegiance (but it's too much debatable as personal views).

Of course I do commission, after all I have to live!
Chiaramente accetto commissioni, dovrò pur campare...
You're right about the Teela / MAA relationship. I have actually only ever owned two of the Series One minicomics, and one of those wasn't an English version, so most of my interpretation of Eternia does come from the Gary Cohn stories of Series Two. I read the remaining Series Ones much more recently. I know that particular relationship has been looked at in different ways over the years, but to my mind there is a logic to choosing The Tale of Teela as Teela's background story.
The Zodac allegiance is completely original. I think people either love the idea or hate it. The main thing for me was to give some substance to a character whose potential was never fulfilled in other stories (in my thoughts anyway).
As I've said on the site, although the Grayskull Saga is inspired by the early minicomics, it is essentially its own canon, in just the way everyone's fan fiction is. I have basically picked the bits I like from the existing stories and added plenty of my own ideas.
I'm just grateful that people read the saga! Fan fiction is a funny thing in that it can never be truly original, and readers will always expect an interpretation that matches their own. And I don't mean that in a negative way at all.
Thanks for visiting!
