    MOTUC Arak: Son of Thunder

It's been a while, but I've finally finished something! Here's Arak: Son of Thunder.

Ever since I was a kid I've always wanted some sort of Native American hero to fight alongside He-Man. I really pleased with how this guy turned out. I can't wait to pose him next to Vikor.

For this figure I tried to blend the looks of both his vintage Remco toy version and his comic first appearance. Hopefully I'll be a bit more active around here and finish up a few more projects I'm working on

    Recipe:
Head: He-Man, Greyskull hair, Maxx feather, TMNT Chief Leo, 7th Kingdom Ramathor tail, apoxie sculpt
    Torso, Biceps: He-Man
    Forearms, Hands: Randor
Shorts: Skeletor, Marvel Legends Conan, 7th Kingdom Xetheus Knife
Legs: Randor, TMNT Chief Leo quiver, apoxie sculpt
    Boots: Mer-Man, apoxie sculpt
    Feet: Stratos

    Vintage Remco Toy:

    DC Comics first appearance:

you're figure looks awesome. i always wanted them to make a native american character as well. i always thought a skeletor crotch peice would have been great for a figure like that because of his loin cloth. just a simple repaint would match really well

Absolutely Brilliant Mike. This is one of your best yet. I love Arak.

Arak was always part of my MOTU world when I was a kid. All of my Remco figures were. Arak and Warlord used to fight alongside He-Man.
Can't wait to see what else you're working on.

Superb. I especially like how well his skin tone looks and the frills on his pants. Great work as always.

    Thanks for the feedback everyone!

@nightboy1984: I had considered using a pair pleated Skeletor shorts, but after seeing Carnivus I thought It would be cool to go with the "flap" design like the comic.

@masterenglish: That skin tone was quite difficult. I wanted a tone that was clearly (somewhat stereotypically) Native American, but no so extreme as to be like the Cleavland Indians logo (slaps hand over mouth and says O-O-O-O-O-O) offensive.

Jeeze, that jumps right off the comic page! You did an amazing job with the colors on this one; the skin tone is perfect.

And that is one fancy way to spell Eric!
