It's looking good, so far, but now my question is, are you gonna include Orko in it, too, like in the pic?

    Got another update

Still quite a way to go but it's getting there. I am happy with the beastman texture, which was my main concern.

    More pics here:

I am thinking of asking the sculptor to change boots soles into high heals to match the filmation look better and make her more feminine. What do you think?
    C&C welcomed. thanks for looking.

There is something with teela hair that I donīt like... More feminine... is that possible? WOW

Back with an update for you guys. After you see the pics, please answer me a question to help out it making this better:

    Update since last time:

    - New Teela Face
    - New Hair Flow
    - Teela's main costume elements added
    - Teela's butt and thighs got bigger
    - Teela's boots got heels now.
    - Beastman's got more fur work
    - Beastman's main costume elements added
    -----

    Questions:

    - To me, this new face resembles Teela (Filmation) more, which I like, but do you see it that way too or was the old face better?

    - Is the new hair flow better?

    - Should her boot's heels remain this way, or make this thinner/sexier?

    - Should Beastman be barefoot like 200X or wearing boots like Filmation?

Remember I am not sticking to the source here, which is great on it's own. But I am a filmation fan more than any other version and hence why I considering changing some of these features to match Filmation style, much like i did with the He-Man vs Skeletor dio.

Anyways, have a look and let me know what you guys think please:

    Hey Mo,

It's looking really good, but I agree it still needs some tweaks to take it over the top.

The boots look off. If they are high-heelish, then her feet will almost always be in a tip-toe position. Right now, they are just flat with a heel added to the boot. If that were real life, she would literally have to flex her foot upward to get that position. It's not natural. Point the toes a bit, and it will look more natural AND sexier.

I think Beastmans' fur armor should go further down his back. As it is now, it's too short, but since this is the early stages, your artist may simply not have gotten to it yet. I realize that you're going for the Filmation-esque version, which has shorter armor, but hunched like that with Teela on his shoulder, it would be shifted back so he's not goring her with the spikes...

I also think he should be barefoot. It makes him look more primal. Always hated the boots on him.

As for Teelas face.... I think it looks good, but too big, or something. I can't put my finger on what is throwing it off. I guess because she has grown a bit to cartoony proportions, she has taken on a more cartoony look in the face, with the bubble cheeks and whatnot. Which doesn't quite match the seriousness/realness that Beastman has. Does that make sense?

I think it looks great overall! I can't wait to have this thing on my shelf!

    Don't keep me waiting!

Anatomically, the eyeline is the middle of the face. On this Teela, everything below the eyes is too stretched. I agree with sdilks that the very cartoony look of Teelas face and expression doesnīt really match the realism sported on Beastman.

    thanks for the comments guys.

I guess the face does need some adjustment. My fear is that it might not look as teela-ish if gets modified, but I'll try explaining it as best i can to the sculptor and hopefully he'll be able to make it better, proportion wise at least. But i would have to disagree that she's more cartoon-ish compared to beast-man. If anything i felt it was the other way around, but in any case, I will ask the sculptor to maintain the features of her face while adjusting the proportions.

As for her boots, I totally agree. Her boots here aren't to my liking at all (the sole/heels). I will definitely ask him to change them to something closer to this:

sdilks, I was more inclined to go with the boots for BM, but since you prefer him to be barefoot, I'll go with that just for you buddy. How about that?

    hey dude,

I almost never post in another artist's thread, but I am compelled to this time.

this is the most awesome piece i've monitored here on the org and I'm telling you to not change a thing and keep going on this project. Sometimes, the best way to show everyone that your ideas will work for the best is to just show the finished piece, and that's when viewers will see what you were trying to accomplish.

dude, this piece is looking awesome and it makes me wish I had the time and patience to do something like this. Keep going man!

Really interesting piece! I always like seeing statues starting from nothing, the in-process pictures and then the wonderful piece of art. It's amazing. I'm not that talented.

This is the awesomest piece I've ever seen here in 11 years! You are truly gifted. Don't listen to everyone's little nitpicky comments and ideas and follow your heart. I cannot wait to see the final statue. Very inspiring to see so much talent!

I was skeptical at first because Cho's work seems so hard to capture in 3D but you're really pulling it off. Great job!
