Just posted a small version of the following text, on matty's Facebook page:

    "Hello.

I just have to say what's on my mind regarding the latest issue, involving the Roboto Figure.
To me it's completely unacceptable paying 20$ plus shipping, and taxes (in some cases), for a figure that ends up having somekind of manufacture problem. Almost 2 years have passed since the first MOTUC figure was released, and errors just keep poping up...
For god's sake, we're talking about Mattel, and not just a small new company trying to make it's way in this business!!!

How much long do you guys think that a collector is willing to spend his time and money, with a line that has given us so much headaches, before taking some serious action in the Quallity Control area????

This is a line that has Adult Collectors as a target, and it doesn't seem we are geting the attention that we were supposed to.

I'm probably geting a Roboto, with inverted shoulders, but i'm keeping it, just because it's not worth the effort of seding it back, and wait a refund.
My will to cancel my 2011 sub is growing so much, that one more issue like this and I will do it!!!

Paying in advance for something that you don't know what it is is one thing, it's your own risk.
Paying in advance for something that You don't know what it is, and that thing turns out wrong, STILL IS A RISK, BUT IS UNACCEPTABLE!!!

Having a subscription that guaratees all the monthly figures, and some other "bonus" should require some more attention don't you think?

Don't get this as an intimitation, this is more a kind of a relief about something that really needs to fixed.
    "

    Does anyone agree with me?

I don't care about the shoulders being wrong at all, but I'm almost positive I'm gonna exchange mine due to the paint apps. I got 3 figures and all of them are messed up, but I'm wondering if I'll just get 3 more from the same batch

    Hi Moonchild!

I am with you! I started to collect MOTUC a bit later - my first figure was Webstor (my first MOTU figure ever!). The reason for this was that I read on He-Man.org about a lot of issues with the early figures and I waited for corrected rereleases. Since Webstor I bought every figure on Mattycollector and completeng my collection with re-releases and partly from ebay too. I started to collect MOTUC when I hoped the early issues should be solved and it is safe to start. After one year of collecting - now I see I was wrong. Despite what Toyguru says the quality did not improve at all, the same old problems continue - actually it seems it is getting worse! Reading the feedback from fans who already got their Roboto through the sub - I was shocked! It was reported that the paint application is very bad, the shoulders are asembly is a random process and in one of the pictures it seems like the shoulders are actually not connected properly with the rest of the arm. I am seriously affraid what I get in one month in my mailbox when my Roboto arrives. The situation makes me sad and disturbed. Just like you I purchased 2011 subscription and I am thinking about to cancel. How is this possible after 2 years of the line?!!??! How does Mattel even dare to do mishandle the quality of the figures like this?!?!?! They say they try to improve - unfortunatelly I have to say: No you DON'T! Or you are not trying sufficiently at least since I am starting to thinking about to stop collecting. Why do we need to wait for a re-issue to get the figure with quality it should have the first time almost with every figure?!?!?!? Sure the individual isssues are not big - but there is a LOTs of them. Still again and again. MOTU team at Mattel please do something about this and don't just say you are working on the issue - you need to DO what you say! Give us a discount for the re-issue Roboto!!! To show us you are really trying! Just like in Moonchild's case - to ask for a refund or a new corrected Roboto for me is wasting of my money and time and makes me wanting to quit collecting! But I will have to do that if my Roboto arrives after a moth of waiting in the condition I have seen in the pictures in this thread and it might be the last drop to quit 2011 sub or to quit with MOTUC completely. I have enough of this!!!

Has anyone noticed if their Roboto's head is extremely loose?

My Roboto's head is loose and I am afraid to move because it falls sideways.

Other than that it really is a great figure. The shoulders are even correct on mine.

One good thing to hopefully come out of this are that all the eBayers who have multiple subs just to resell figures for a profit get stuck selling Robotos with misassembled shoulders at a loss.

Love my Roboto! Tight joints and I really love the colors on him. So glad they were able to get the gears to turn as well. The shoulders don't bother me at all - here are a couple of quick iPhone pics!

Patrick, is it just me or is just one of your Roboto's shoulders wrong and the other one correct?

I think I like the asymmetry of Patrick's the best. I hope at least one of my two subs come that way. Monday can't get here fast enough.

I like the Roboto we're getting now. But I hoped Roboto would have had the visor guard like in this drawing...

His visor should be beneath the bigger part of the helmet and the guard could protect his visor, he could still look through though cause of the grating.
Oh and the guard should point down and not out front (see drawing).
As a kid I always thought the black thing was Roboto's visor.

BWA HAHA now we can onl HOPE to have that great QC they have to get the 'correct' shoulders.

Pat, congrats! Yours are the very first photos to actually make me desire this figure!

And your iPhone took better photos than anything I saw from Comic Con or Mattel; amazing...

Thanks! Will post one as soon as possible. I've been a bit absent as I took a new job that required a move and training for a few weeks. September basically came and went and I don't have much recollection of it, lol. My collection is up but I need to tweak it a bit - should be done soon and so pics will come! Glad you like it!

Sweet, thanks! Yeah, I love my iPhone 4 and the pics come out pretty good for a mobile phone imo. As with many of this lines figures, I really think in hand they are so much better then most the pics we get. The whole shoulder thing had me a bit worried but in person, for me, it's completely a non issue and I'm pretty picky about things like this usually.

Well, you have ONE shoulder that's correct.

Seriously though, you know what you forgot to do? Update your icon with Roboto. It's tradition.

So after looking at Pat's pictures, because I'm a MOC collector, (further reason I don't understand the hoopla), but are people really up in arms because the circuitry doesn't line up correctly with the bicep? Is that what all the complaining is about? Really? I guess I'm more forgiving the most, because considering we have a Roboto again after years, is a stride within itself. Aren't these Roboto figures in working condition? Well, then to the unaided eye, they look normal. It took Patrick's up close picture to finally make me see it.

Howdy, Look who turned up only three days after leaving the states! record time!!!

I was initially not looking forward to him, he was just a stop gap til Grizzlor. But now hes here, I love him.

As you can see his shoulders are back to front -and its Really obvious when you look from the side. But its not a huge distraction, his colors are superb.

now the faults... His feet were sort of distorted in the bubble, it will even out I think but it was very noticeable.

His Laser was smooshed into the insert, and came out deformed,Im gonna try the hot water trick later!.

He also has three dots of red paint on his left arm (visible in pic at top).

Besides that, hes honestly awesome! The mechanism works perfectly!

8 out of Ten from Ka!

I may just be a Gay Pop fan...but I am also the one who wants ALL of the Figures, who wants this line to continue and who is putting my money where my mouth is....are you doing the same?

Tie one of those clear rubber bands around the peg and replace the head... that should take care of any unwanted movement... works like a charm!
